after looking at the odds for headliners take that at 33/1 have got to be worth a punt

i know this is old news it was reported back in dec 2008

Take That are being tipped to headline Glastonbury Festival in 2010, with Robbie Williams possibly joining the band.

"The lads would love to headline Glastonbury. There has been a lot of talk of it in the band's camp," a source tells The Scum.

"It would be the perfect pinnacle of their fantastic career. It also fits the bill for what the band are looking for in terms of Robbie's comeback."

But the insider also suggested Robbie wouldn't be appearing with Take That on their 'The Circus' tour: "It's not right for him to join the tour next summer. That's about their latest album - nothing to do with him."

"But they do want a huge show where they can sing a greatest hits set and as many fans as possible can see it. Glastonbury could be that gig."

The insider also hinted that Williams could even feature on their next studio album. "By then work on the third album since their comeback could be under way. Robbie could even be involved in that too."

Earlier this week Robbie said he would "love" to rejoin the band.

It would be a joke if they did play - I don't buy into the 'go somewhere else' thing on this one, as although I could do, should Glastonbury really be supporting manufactured boy bands? The fact they have longetivity on their side doesn't disguise what they are.

If the answer is 'yes', then why not go the whole hog and let Simon Cowell curate a stage in 2011?

For what it's worth, I'd be amazed if they did play anyway.

I don't normally defend boy bands but I think Gary Barlow is a really good song writer, I know some of the songs are cheesey but if you think last year we had Lady Gaga on the other stage then I know who is better then her ot take that.

Whats wrong with some pop at glasto, as long as there not headlining.

I don't get some people.

All this 'asking for a refund' claptrap annoys me, why don't people embrace the fact that there are a dozen other things they could be seeing rather than getting worked up about who's on the Pyramid stage and whether or not they are a 'manufactured' band?? Will Young came from Pop Idol but nobody seems to complain - perhaps because he isn't being so rude as to play on the Pyramid when he's not a 'real person'?

Like em, see em. Don't like em, keep walking.

I would absolutely LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE that to happen. I can think of nothing better than seeing Robbie AND Take that, plus it would be ideal for them and ideal for Glasto. I reckon if they did do it, it would be one to remember for sure

Anyone got Eavis's number? I'll give him a bell and bully him into booking them
