Muse

I refuse to trust anything in NOTW, since the MAJOR Pulp disappointment from a week ago.

Would like to see them, but am seeing them next week, so wouldn't be a major disappointment from me, think they are more likely for Reading because they're likely to throw a big pile of money and an exclusivity sticker on them tbh.

I had a dream last night that muse were at glasto - woke up in a panic, as I had managed to fall asleep in the tent and missed half the set. :P Not sure if that counts as evidence that they will be at glasto, or whether it means I should not have a sleep before I see them on Friday. Probably the second - but it would be fab if they were announced for glasto. :P

Oooft, there's a shout, haven't even thought of Rush playing Glasto,... not that they're rumoured ANYWERE, but that would be f**king sick

FRIDAY

LED ZEPPELIN

BOB DYLAN

SATURDAY

THE ROLLING STONES

RODRIGO Y GABRIELLA

SUNDAY

RUSH

shitty modern band - muse or radiohead etc

still don't know whether it could beat 09 - springsteen, neil young, CSN, terry reid and roger mcguinn, jesus christ - but that would have a pretty good shot!!

Please mr eavis, don't let us down!

I think it is important that we all don't lose sight of the fact that the latest muse album is utter, utter shite. Really, embarrassingly, excruciatingly bad.

I saw them in 2004 and enjoyed them. I don't think they deserve to headline in 2010 though if they are going to play lots from their latest abortion of an album.

The band are grade A ballsacks too. Does anyone remember their performance before their headlining year. Their onstage antics were farcical. Prentending to hide behind the amps then leaping out? Good grief.

It's a no from me, thanks.

Its almost 100% Muse will be headlining this year, and like every keeps saying if you dont like them theres plenty of other stages.

Still no idea who the other two headliners will be, when in the past have the headliners been known, not confirmed but big hints dropped etc?

and this nugget of info comes from where?

The most recent info appears to be from the NotW.

http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/showbiz/xs...-and-JAY-Z.html

But it appears to be made up bollox (just as NotW's supposed Pulp quotes were last week), as it states they're "currently in talks", but then quotes Bellamy as saying "We're going to have a little chat with the Eavis family", which appears to totally contradict the stated fact of them being "currently in talks". :P

So I'd trust that about as much as I'd trust Gary Glitter with my children. :P

No point, it is highly agreed on on these here forums. They are good live, but the best they certainly are not.

One scientific fact tho, their last two albums are the most vile pieces of music ever. I would rather cut my legs off than hear anything from it again. I do believe they will headline a night, so hoping someone outstanding will play somewhere the same time, or my legs remain at Glasto forever, leaving the rest of my body permanently jealous!

Nandos > O2 Bar > Big Pink > MUSE! Going be a good night, not looked at any of the tour photos or videos so far, have had a sneaky speak at setlists and I am little disappointed with it but kind of expected it at the same time

Knights of Cydonia?! Supermasive Black Hole!, Map of the problemaqtiue?! Assassin?! Uprising, Undisclosed Desires?!, Unnatural Selection?! and then you got the master piece that is Exogenesis that may not be for everyone but you can at least appreciate its well crafted music/

    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
