Muse

I really don't understand why you have bought a Glastonbury ticket if you are making the premise that you will only go if Radiohead or Muse play.

What were you planning on doing for the other 5 days?

I think you would be better suited at Reading, that way you will be able to throw your toys out the pram and catch those of the other juveniles throwing theirs also.

I for one hope that Muse don't play so that you don't go if you are seriously making that statement that you won't go if they aren't there.

i havent once said that im only going if muse or radiohead play, i dont really care that much who headlines, i just dont want it to be all one way traffic. Looking at last years line up there wasnt a great deal of stand out acts on the main stage IMO.

I just hope there is a good range of music on the pyramid stage and that it isnt all old acts liek Andy Williams and the stones.

I don't think anyone is saying that, are they? Most of the posts I've seen agree they are of the current popular bands a good live ticket?

You need to get over the old/young thing, frankly, because it's like cutting your nose off to spite your face. I like music before my time, music of my time and music that's probably come after my time, and to be honest I don't differentiate between it. I just file it as good, or bad. But then I'm dicatated to by the popular culture instilled in by Radio One or the NME or things like that.

I have seen them live thanks! I never once mentioned about their musical ability!

I was merely commenting on your childish comments and narrowmindedness...

Why don't you consider from moving away from the Pyramid Stage? Or go to a festival with all modern bands and just one or two stages which it seems you crave?

And i know you can go to other stages but the main stage is where you want there to be a good range as presumably that is where the more popular bands will play.

I dont think ive said any childish comments maybe ive come across narrow minded but it wasnt intended, i love music and i love the concept of glasto its fantastic they have such a range of stages and genres its just getting the balance right on the main bands i think.

If im honest i want MUSE and Radiohead to headline i know that probley isnt going to happen but i think MUSE should be there and id be confused if they arnt.

I dunno why we are all arguing about whos better than who anyway not everyone is going to like MUSE so let it be, i find being a more of MUSE fan than a Radiohead fan you dont get as much stick as a Radiohead fan but i do love them aswel.

Firstly it is in NO WAY muse or nothing ive seen them 8 time live, they are amazing and i'd love for them to headline sure, but it isnt the deciding factor of me going.

I know its a tired argument but its true!! I'm 19 why would i want to see bands way past it with the exception of Led Zep, which would be class. Madonna, Rolling Stones, Andy Williams and Bob Dylan, can you see where i'm coming from. By all means there should be one day dedicated to it but the younger generation surely would rather the likes of Muse and Radiohead, it cant be just me that thinks that way.

Seen muse once at wembley staduim and that was the best live gig I've ever been too. But I wouldn't like to see them at glasto because I think they would be a very bland choice cause they always headline festivals. I would like to see something a bit different like something no one would ever even think of but when people see them on paper they go "OMG That is absolutely out of this world" Because it's the 40th anniversary the headliners need to be really special :P

Cheers,

I refuse to trust anything in NOTW, since the MAJOR Pulp disappointment from a week ago.

Would like to see them, but am seeing them next week, so wouldn't be a major disappointment from me, think they are more likely for Reading because they're likely to throw a big pile of money and an exclusivity sticker on them tbh.

    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
