What I said in the Zane Lowe thread to someone who said Muse are most definitely not shite

In fairness me and and a group of 6 mates went to see them at V and thought they were.

Was alright for 10minutes, but then just became a glorified light show and we'd have gone to Alton Towers if we wanted to see that.

Would like them to be headliners though, as would mean I wouldn't feel obliged to see the headliners, as last year wanted to see all 3 and missed so many other acts.

Right then. Just listened to The Resistance start to finish on Spotify and I'm glad I didn't buy it.

Apart from Uprising (which I actually really like) the rest of the album is the music equivalent of w*nking off. Good fun for those taking part, but not really for public consumption.

Is it just me, or do all bands that have success get to a point where they believe their own reputation and can put out any old shit? U2 did it, Coldplay did it, Radiohead nearly did it (Kid A/Amnesiac = bit dodgy), KOL definitely have done it. Do you reckon there's something in the hunger and desperation of an unpopular or unsigned act that shines through? I'm starting a new foundation. Keep Musicians Poor. Join KMP and help fight for quality of output!

I think they're new album is really good, okay takes a few listens but still good. They are amazing live and should definitley play next year, i'd be very confused if they don't.

But whats the chances of them playing.......

New born

Sing for absolution

Muscle Museum

Citizen Erased

Knights of cydonia

Feeling good

Bliss

Time is running out

Plug in baby

Stockholm syndrome

Plus all their new stuff

I'd be really pissed off if I saw them and they only played one part of the Exogenesis Symphony. What's the point? It's an entire work as it self so doing only one part would feel like a cop out, which is not what I've grown to expect of Muse as a live act!

I dont know how people can call them over-hyped.

Theyre one of the biggest bands this country has and have shown so over the last few years.

I have seen them 3 times, one of these gigs being the Wembley Stadium show (Muse first band to sell out Wembley Stadium) and they are insanely good.

And of course their show is choreographed, they are showmen and even though Bellamy is a bit of a bellend, he's an awesome musician and a brilliant frontman. Countless best live act awards..

I like the new album, I like some of the different sounds theyve experimented with, and I dont think its to be taken that seriously. If Muse are there, I know for a fact that me and my 7 mates will all be there, without fail.

friend just mailed me this:

Muse for Glastonbury?

During an interview with InDemand at the Q Awards, Muse’s Matt Bellamy said “I’d love to play Glastonbury, we’re going to have a little chat to the Eavis family today to see what they have to say”

interesting! :D
