i would have loved to see them headline next year.

I don't get this "glad they won't be playing" brigade. Can't think of many bands with a bigger catalogue of hits. Personally i'd have loved them to play.

well, this is a massivly hypothetical and subjective subject but here goes.

i would say that were they to play, and be on form the only acts imo (including those i didnt see) that could stand up in performance levels would be

Macca, Bowie, Blur, Radiohead and after that the list is thin.

but thats just my opinion!!

Last month I read about em leaving the stage set as permanent structures.

I thought maybe they could kill 2 birds with one stone and set up in a spare field at Glasto for

the Thursday evening and give us a free gig .

They could then leave the spider then and we could have a new trash city

Everyone would win - u2 for playing for virtually nowt and leaving the spider legacy

Glasto for the event and coverage

us for having a good Thursday night

because there isnt one! U2 are amazing live, untouchable when on form!
