Biggest crowd this year?

My money's on KOL, definitely. Followed by Prodigy. I also think Arctics will get a pretty huge crowd. Radiohead, they'll draw in a lot of people obviously but part of me thinks they might get the smallest out of the three headliners.

I also feel that Lostprophets will play to the biggest crowd the NME stage has seen in years.

I think its between kings of leon and arctic monkeys. Kings of leon are undoubtedly the biggest draw but as said above arctic monkeys have less competition.

mainstage, i'd say arctics and kol will draw equally massive crowds, arctics may just edge it as i can see fnm filling the tent, but not to a ridiculous level just as went the initial lineup announcement was made it would have put off a lot of people, probably pissed off by the lack of a "traditional rock headliner". Also factor in that anyone on the fence will watch kol as they're the hottest thing right now, or quite simply that's who their mates are watching. Also factor in that the gossip will have one man watching them, and he's only there to crack one off and satisfy his chubby chaser needs for the weekend.

I reckon radiohead will draw a crowd comparable to metallica at leeds last year, respectable but not massive. La roux will pack out the fr tent imo (two absolutely massive singles, even if she a headlining act i reckon a lot of people will watch her). Whilst they arn't my cup of tea, lostprophets will be choas in the tent, they're renowned for going down well at the festival, and always draw a massive crowd. I could very easily see around half the festival audience turning up trying to get in the crowd for lostprophets.

I don see anyway KOL wont have the biggest crowd, regardless of FNM.

Also.. the prodigy have as much competition as arcitc monkeys, arguably less (thursday or whoever rather than rise against) and also i imagine the prodigy have a wider appeal (metal and indie people) where as i dont see most the metal crowd at arctic monkeys.

Biggest main stage crowd is gonna be out of Radiohead and KOL.

I reckon Radiohead are gonna have the biggest crowd because...well because it's Radiohead.

Personally I'm gonna be missing KOL and watching FNM in the Radio 1 tent but I reckon all these people that think FNM are gonna get a huge crowd are mistaken. I love FNM - I even went to Download solely on the basis of them playing - but I don't reckon the crowd (specifically at Reading and Leeds) is going to be all that bothered about them...

I guess time will tell...

Should be Faith No More seeing as they're the best band on the line-up, but I imagine Lostprophets will get a bigger crowd than they do. Hope that's the case anyway, I don't want to have to force my way into an overcrowded tent!

Arctic WILL get the biggest crowd, prodigy before them aswell which means prodigy will get a big one. But i think mainly cos the other headliners on Friday are a bit shit.

At Leeds I think it'll be a close run thing. Arctic's don't have especially strong competition (though Glasvegas will impact more than Gossip I reckon) and are reasonably local. Radiohead have their own crowd who will have picked up day tickets, while KOL are huge (their 2007 crowd at Leeds was massive, one of the biggest non-Glastonbury festival crowds I've seen). Prodigy have cross-over appeal and no FNM/Lostprophets size band to compete with but I don't think they're as big as the 3 headliners
