Blur - Absolutely Mindblowing

I wasn't especially a fan when I went along but they were awesome.. best set of the festival for me. Tender and This is a low were amazing and The Universal was the perfect end to the festival.

I thought reading through the lines of what Damon said to the crowd that maybe the reunited band wasn't so happy to be together.. I thought maybe thats why he was crying and emotional.

It was a great show. Can't help but think it's a bit of a farewell though because I just got the feeling that Graham wasn't looking best happy (though he did have a big smile towards the end).

I just think him and Daman don't much like each other any more.

Oh my baby,oh my baaaaaaabaaaaaaaaaaaaay.....

good to see them together again, whether we will see some new material or not remains to be seen, but i dont think they could have played a better set. they were the first band i ever got into along with Oasis (and Space!!) and brought back memories of buying my first album - The Great Escape - when i was a kid. A cover of D.A.R.E. would have been cracking! :P

I thought that as I watched them last night.

As others have said, never been a huge fan and have never seen them live before but I thought it was a great performance. We were in a great spot in the crowd, lots of flares burning, everyone dancing and enjoying the moment - a really nice vibe :P

Absolutely amazing - the highlight of the festival for me. But then I was always a big fan. It's so rare to be at a live performance where virtually the whole crowd is singing along.

That was the first time i ever saw them live, and i feel lucky as i thought i would never get the chance.

I got the feeling they all enjoyed it - Damon certainly and even Graham looked like he was really getting into the songs again which surprised me.

Did someone say Blur?! :P

If there's anyone who didn't know (that's none of the triangulites then :D ) I was on the barrier!! Just ridiculously great - loved the whole show so much and still haven't stopped grinning...

One of those 'I was there' moments for me

future_shock, did you see Blur?

:D

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
