That makes me feel better, Air were pretty savage, despite missing most of the set.

Pretty crappy year all in all, think I remember The Frames being good but that's it.

Bottom line is, it'd take something REALLY special to drag me away from Blur next week.

BBC Look East (East Anglia BBC region), BBC1, tonight at 6.30. They are running a story on the gig. Script reads:

150 fans of Blur .. had the treat of a lifetime on Saturday .. in a former railway shed in Essex.

Back in 1988 .. the band played their first ever gig at the East Anglian Railway Museum.

They have now re-formed .. and decided the Museum would be the right place .. to warm-up for some big concerts this summer.

is a no-brainer in comparison to a 1hr20 max show from Howlett that includes songs like Breathe and Their Law that everyone has heard 1,000 times.

Ah dude!.............Breathe and Their Law in the same classification!..............Im most disapointed............granted Their Law is overplayed, but that bassline still gives me one! Its so guttural!

Breathe on the other hand was always shit!.............even when fresh it was just a poor mans firestarter!

Viewed in that context its a different thing altogether.........And I would not be turning to LH to listen to a message of anytype, political or other wise....but man that chugging guitar gets me everytime.......Its rawness.....and then that slamming drumming beat.......its like a kick in the balls and a punch in the face, and in a good way!........I suppose the effective thing I ended up doing was to start to neglect the Prodigy after the release of Fat of the Land...........I stopped listening to them really...........gave AONO the 2 listens it deserved...........did not touch the singles LP............stopped going to see them at festivals (but was at Witnness in 2002, but was so f**ked I might as well have not been there!!)...........and so to my ears Their Law is most likely, less tainted..............

But Anyroad................Blur is where its at this year...........although the release of Invaders must die put me in a bind over who to see..............checking out the new Blur gig clips and the potential setlist............there is only one place to be............Pyramid stage, Sunday, 22.00............

they obviously felt guilty but there we go. i am going to see them at glasto next weekend, and although 90000 is a few more than 150, i'm not the biggest Blur fan so nevermind i guess!
