I'm one of those people that over prepares for everything. I'm sure a lot of you are the same - with Glastonbury now so close I'm desperate to do Glastonbury related things everyday to make sure I've got absolutely everything covered for when I leave. :lol:

I'd like to make a little booklet to take and give one to each of my friends as well. I say a booklet but what I really mean is just to print off the clashfinder and then (hopefully) with the help of you guys produce another page to go at the back with estimated walking times between all major stages.

I know someone asked this the other week and they were basically shot down by people saying "the times vary so much depending on conditions" but when you consider that I've never been, any help is better than none. :)

For example - I've not a clue how long it takes to walk from the pyramid to the park so when I'm looking at my clashfinder and thinking - will we be able to make it in time - I wouldn't be able to decide - and I might end up walking - missing the set I wanted to see completely and then missing something that I wanted to see on the Pyramid as well.

Obviously I can look at the map for a general idea but I don't have a clue about the sheer scale of whole thing so I could do with a bit of help - even if it's only to the nearest 10 or 15 minutes. :)

Pyramid to John Peel in 15?

Walking backwards backwards, maybe. Ten minutes tops.

Thing with these kind of things is that 15 is probably quite accurate from somewhere in front of the pyramid stage. But if you're planning ahead and simply have to get from pyramid after band x to see band y in JP, then you'll be on the right wing at pyramid, and it won't take long at all to get to JP.

I think that however long u think it may take to walk between stages, you need to add at least 30% on again, to factor in p**sing around time caused by the many randomn distractions of glasto that cant be planned for.

Ive missed many a band due to not including correct P**sing around time, but i suppose thats half the fun :lol:

      So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
