Jazz world dissapointed

Does seem a bit of a light line-up compared to previous years, bit worrying as it was always useful to just hover near the Brothers Bar and see what was on next, but there seems less stuff I'm interested in this time.

Having said that thrilled to see Lonnie Liston Smith, Baaba Maal and Steel Pulse on there. Will try to catch Erci Truffaz too. LLS will trump anything else on site for me (now going off to work out the clashes!)

But surely there will be more than six acts on the Jazz World during the entireity of Friday...? And do we really think that Q-Tip is Headline material...? Therefore......... isn't it possible that Spearhead are still to be announced.....?

Have had another look at the Jazz World, and still find it difficult to get excited about, only one definate for me to try and see so far are Jamie Cullam,Stephnie Mcay and Linda Lewis. Not into hip hop stuff like Q tips ect,not my sort of Jazz. Can't please everyone i know, but a wonder if they are really bothered about the Jazz world stage anymore...looks like they are not to me. Good job the rest of the stages are much stronger this year. :(

Will add these to a must see...on what is a very poor Jazz World Lineup

I won't be missing steel pulse either. :(

But it's pretty obvious that the line-up for Jazzworld isn't complete ... there's more to come for there i'm sure.

It might be that Tinariwen are part of Playing for Change I guess, but I doubt that Rolf is - so those two, who both confirmed themselves as playing there, are bound to be playing. Plus some more I reckon.
