Strange things that get you exited

I notice that its the opening day of the Chelsea Flower Show today. My brother used to work for a guy who put on displays there, and he would go to help do their display down there. It became a marker to me that summer was starting and Glastonbury was just round the corner! I got really exited when I saw the TV coverage today and everyone thought I was mad till I explained. I expect they still think im a little mad but they also know im a total festival obsessive.

So anyone else have any similar triggers in there lives?

My mums going tomorrow as she does every year. I have to say, the show does get me a bit excited for some reason

I also slept with the window open last night because it was pouring with rain and reminded me off the rain on my tent.

Any time I drive on the A303 I have a huge smile on my face - my route to Glastonbury! I was on it today on the way to Salisbury and got excited, then on the radio when Judith mentioned that the next festival coverage they were doing was Glastonbury I was screaming with glee! If I'd had more time I would have driven the extra hour to the site.

This year and last the stress of trying to complete loads of coursework in the last few weeks before the academic year finishes means Glastonbury is not far away.

I have to get everything done by 20th June then it's almost straight into Glasto time!

Writing my list of things I need to buy and putting my tent up always get me thinking it's not long to go.

Packing today got me rather happy. Having to do it 5 weeks early because I'm moving to a hostel in Exeter on Wednesday but picking up my Glasto gear in Sussex when I return for the Orbital concert.

Is the webcam up yet? That usually gets everyone in a bit of a tiz!

Some things i associate the festival being nearly apon us......

Football season ending - don't really think about Glasto that much beforehand (apart from sorting out my ticket) as im usually too pre-occupied with Arsenal's season!

My ticket arriving.

Pulling out my tent for an airing/finding boots etc that have been hidden since August.

Sorting out *supplies* with local providers

People who have moved away returning home the w/e before so we can all head down together

Adverts starting on BBC/Radio1

One bizzare one similar to the Chelsea Flower Show is that I know when I watch the US Open Golf Championship (boring i know ) that Glastonbury is the following weekend

It was my birthday on Sat which is normally the start of pre glasto partying/ excitement. Strawberry fair 6th June, my friends legendary birthday party 13th June, more or less there

Taking a walk on Sunday morning and could smell incense wafting from a local shop. Smelling that on a beautiful, sunny morning was enough to evoke those memories of morning tea in a tent.
