Anyway, I've only heard heart of gold, old man and hey hey my my and I really like those 3 so I was wondering what else I should listen to. Should I just get a greatest hits or would I be better off getting 2 0r 3 of his albums?

Ohio is my favourite neil young tune although i dont think he plays it live now a days

f**king up is a good rockier one which i know he still plays (or atleast he did when i saw him last year)

I always advise people to first get Decade, and probably Live Rust, Rust Never Sleeps, Freedom and Ragged Glory should then cover most of his set.

Or do what I did, and buy everything he's ever done.

I would heartily recommend the Ragged Glory album - every song is a killer and sung with oodles of conviction - also Live Rust and Decade for excellent overviews of all his best stuff.

On The Beach seems to have been overlooked, its an absolutely brilliant album. Listening to any neil young even his wierd 80s stuff like trans will make you a better human being.
