missed payment date

Anyone got any useful suggestions. I've just got back from a long tip to Mexico and have realised I've missed the payment date - I was going on my own this year so I had no friends to remind me to pay and seetickets reminder went into my spam folder. Of course I phoned See Tickets once I realised who were (prehaps understandably) completely unhelpful, just told me I was going to get my money back.

I've been going every year since 1984, so its my 25 anniversity, not sure how many glastonbury's that would be, but unless there's anything I can do I don't fancy my chances in the ticket lottery in April.

Right..

I saw this today whilst cruising e-bay. There is a guy who is selling on info about tickets.

"Tickets for Glastonbury 2009 are still available!!!

Despite the tickets being sold out through the official channel, tickets are still available and require no registration!

If you are the winner of this auction I will send you a link to a website where you can still buy Glastonbury 2009 tickets. This is completely legitimate and the tickets are fully endorsed by the concerts official organisers.

The website is not connected to me in any way, I am merely selling information"

now, i have no idea to what he is referring but he charges £3.49 for the "info" he is providing. He has one feedback from previous sale and apparently it is as described.

Maybe worth £3.49 to check out what he is referring too...I dont know, a shot in the dark??

Sounds like a scam. Perhaps try registering for work anyhow?

The homepage of the Glastonbury site has got links to Litter Picking, Oxfam etc. If you've been going since '84 and haven't worked there, maybe think about it, I'm sure you'll get into it.

I've worked there at about 15 festivals since 82 and it's always amazing. Great to spend a week or more on site, watch the whole thing come together, getting wilder as it gets closer to the gates opening, then full on once they do. Work yer arse off on your shifts, still get to see loads of amazing music and more, feel like you're giving something back to the festival.

If you don't fancy it, then I guess it's the April 5th ticket lottery. Hope you get there one way or the other and have a great Silver Anniversary :) !

It's on the "chat" section.

It is a link to another company, which says it provides "back-stage" (not to the stage area, but the back-stage staff areas) passes and accomodation to people in the music industry. It says that the tickets cost about £400 (+VAT) and you Must pay for a camp site at £200 (+ VAT). So, even if it was legit, and who's to say it is, it would be nearly £700.00 for entry. Ouchie. And, quite a bit of cash to risk on something too. Of course, it could be legit (one call to the Glasto people would settle it) but then, it is supposed to be for music industry peoples, so you might find even if it was real, you would not be able to get the tickets.

Thanks for all the kind suggestions and encouragement,I'll be very happy to buy you all a drink at the festival I've been away for a while so couldn't reply but the good news is I now have a ticket... the power of letter writing and pleading your case.

Was seriously thinking of volunteering to work there but I really want to just hang out and have no responsibilities for a few days.

    • A win is a win but it was a very poor game with only 4 shots on target in the whole game. Scotland obviously handed a massive bonus with Brazil and Morocco drawing but I don't think either of them will be too worried.
    • Word of advice, your work-life energy balance should be 60% energy for work and 40% energy for life. If you're drained after a day's work, that is something you should strongly look into. Especially if it is solely due to work.
