steve....
Anyone set me straight? Bloc party? I hope so
chuckley
i think they will headline... they r due back as their last was 07?!
OneLittleFish
Might headline the Other stage, Pyramid stage seems almost certain to be Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and Blur. Not bad headlining Connect this year, could do better though.
Joshuwarr
Would be great. I'd much rather see them in the daylight, not headline.
LusciousLucy
Me and Chocky have been discussing this one for a while now and both reckon that BP will get either the Friday/Saturday Pyramid 8pm slot or the Fri/Sat Second Stage Headline. Their last appearance was at 6pm(?) Sunday Pyramid 07. They can only go higher on the billing surely?
Joshuwarr
They were 2nd from top at Reading this year and could have easily headlined. Had a massive crowd and have the hits to carry them.
steve....
Looking fairly promising then. Fingures crossed.
benisright
Personally i thought they were awful at reading last year. I like bloc party and dont mind the new stuff too much. But when i heard them live in 08 it was like nails on a chalkboard.

Siberia
I've seen them twice and have enjoyed them both times. To answer the question of a possible glasto appearance, i can definately see that happening - a successful British band touring a third album that are not up their own arses (Razorlight, Kasabian), this means the Eavis' have the option of placing them high up should they wish to or have the opportunity to have them slightly lower down and not having them whine about it. I personally see them fairly high up on the pyramid or a 2nd from the top slot on the other stage i reckon.
LetsGoToMars
I've seen them a couple of times at Leeds and thought they were pretty rubbish both times...but I can see them playing at Glasto definitely because they are popular there. Maybe Other stage headliner...same day as Blur? Edited January 4, 2009 by domharrison
Brizzle
i think they will because they're touring their album (not much of a fan) which ends in like april time. so they'l be a la glast (hopefully)

Sparticus
i'd give them a watch, seen them quite a bit over the past couple of years so gave myself a rest from them last year (overkill can be a bad thing ), wasn't too convinced by one of the singles but heard the new album in the background and it sounded alright, bit of a change for them. Only problem is sounds like it wont translate well live on an outdoor stage, and you're not going to put bloc party in a tent now, they always pull massive crowds.
