Saw em in Leeds last night and they were awesome !

I know they burnt their boat a bit last time , but stick em in a tent , or in the dark and they will come good.

Completeley Overated imho. They haven't done anything decent since Screamadelica and even that sounds hopelessly dated. Besides, Cokeheads are really self obsessed and Boring.

Being called Mellow , you will not really get XTRMNTR then will you

Primal Scream's XTRMNTR is one of the most intense and innovative politically charged musical diatribes since the MC5's 1969 debut. Approaching electronic, funk, and alt-punk-based sounds with equal ferocity, this is arguably the band's finest record yet. The over-the-top brilliance of "MBV Arkestra" (a seven-minute, Kevin Shields-saturated noise fest) alone cannot be exaggerated.

Can't see them being that welcome after last time! But then they are supposed to be favourites of ME's. I think they will want to play last on what ever stage they are on, it was "supporting" Basement Jaxx that upset them last time. So realistically they could headline a night on John Peel.

not nearly popular enough nowadays to be high up on the bill. i got tickets last week for the Brighton gig for £4 each off ebay!! it wasn't empty but it was far from sold out, in a venue only holding about 1500. having said that, they were very good. with such high volume and a completely in yer face light and strobe show it was INTENSE. still, two best songs were damaged and movin' on up from the old days..... showing me age

having just seen them live (for the god knows how many time!) Id love them to be at glasto, they always put on a great show.

The thing I love about primal scream is their ability to have albums like screamadelica, vanishing point, and riot city blues, all different but all ace in their own way.

    • First outdoor gig of the season for me last night. David Byrne in a soaking wet St Anne’s Park. Absolutely spectacular (didn’t expect anything less to be fair!). If you get a chance to catch him on this tour, don’t hesitate. At least half the set were Talking Heads classics. Marvellous all round (ok, I’ll let him away with the song about how much he loves his apartment😁).  IMG_1177.dng

    • Don Broco secret set.
    • Regarding PinkPantheress: I watched the ending of The Cure from the back and then bolted straight to Cupra to save spots on the steps for my entire festival crew. Thus, we all had a good experience there. Sucks that not everybody got to properly see it, but it felt like something out of Glastonbury where those who showed up long in advance got to see a big artist on a smaller stage in good conditions.
