Early arrival - Help please.

After last years experience of trying to pitch a tent half on gravel and half on a path on the Thursday afternoon - C2 what a blast - I'm aiming to get there on the Tuesday evening this year and hope to grab me a nice plot of turf to camp on. Has anybody else been there before the 'official' opening and if so how straight forward is it to get on a site?

hey, me and the mate im travelling with and planning on driving down from ze brugge once we get off the ferry on thurs morning. we are aiming to camp in D9. anyone got any advice on where we would park if we wanted to camp there?

Im driving from brussels on thurs morning and planning on D9 as that seems to be a "safe" option for thursday camping. Looks on the map like all I have to do is head in from the east and make a right as I enter the grounds. Is it that easy??

Also we have 3 tents, are we gunna get a space together or are we gunna have to split up?

Can't wait for it now, well excited!!

by the sounds of it the only decent place your gunna get into on thurs is D9. The other campsites will probably be pretty full by then.

well these were confirmed today: A Day To Remember, Aktives Kupfer**, Buckcherry, Exposed To Noise*, Fightstar, Hardcore Superstar, Heavy Ride*, Hockey, Martin & James, Milow, The Intersphere and Wirtz.

and it looks like theres still at least one tbc but thats pretty much it (there is a lot of bands there to be fair)

My question for the RaR veterans is: How easy is it to get into the coke tent at night? I really want to see the gaslight anthem but am guessing i can't just wander up to the tent 5 minutes before they are on and expect to see anything?

I would plan at least 15 minutes, and if it is too full they will shut it... hard to predict.

From Zeebrugge you'll be coming in to the Ring from the west, check out some of my posts from last year for directions as you'll pass a handy last stop petrol station for supplies. Anyhow, go past the festival, left into the village and depending on what time... wait... you'll see the campsite on the right and the car park entrance is just the other side of the village on the right. Basically parking is next to the camp sites.

Is there much activity after all the bands are finished? like anything else happen like discos etc @ RIP?
