Laura Marling, Mumford and Sons, Gideon Conn and more on Friday 3rd July

or Super Furry Animals, The Men They Couldn't Hang, Subgiant, Soweto Kinch, Imperial Leisure and more on Saturday 4th July

With tickets for the festival very close to being sold out, we're very much in the mood to party.

So...

tomorrow (Thursday 16th) at the Orange Rooms in Southampton from 7.30pm, we're having one. It kind of celebrates the beginning of summer too, even if it does rain tomorrow - boo!

But hooray...it's...

The United Sounds of Blissfields

For the small sum of £5, the fantastic line up is these tremendous artists:

Delays (DJ set)

Subsource (Live)

Cherbourg (Live)

Beans on Toast (Live)

Hijera (DJ Set)

Marcus Muktarsingh (DJ)

Little Chief (DJ)

Ally Wolf (DJ)

Arrive early and enjoy the evening of entertainment. It will be a BONKERS night out, or a very good Thursday before the weekend arrives

Flip me, we're just around the corner from Blissfields time!

For all of those lucky sausages who were at Glasto this past weekend, hope it was way out groovy. If you're coming on to the United States of Blissfields, we can't wait to see you.

We can't wait to see all those coming along this weekend (hopefully Thursday). The site is looking beautiful and getting busier by the day - the village is taking shape.

If this weather carries on, I may cry with joy, and if not, well, whatcha gonna do!

Much love

Well how fantastic was that?

Loads of highlights; Cherbourg, Laura Marling, Birdpen, Super Furry Animals, Rebel Control...

But I think I have to make Mumford and Sons my favourite bit, just superb.

Thanks to the organisers, hope the council weren't too tosspotty!

Aye, we had a grand old time.

Lovely weather, lovely music, lovely people.

My blog of the event (which doesn't cover all the bands I saw, just the highlights) can be found by clicking just HERE

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
