Also newly confirmed for the line-up are Nathan Flutebox Lee and WanDan, BirdPen, Life in Film, Soweto Kinch, Gloria Cycles, and The Moho.

Festival Organiser Paul Bliss said, "We have to pinch ourselves that the Super Furry Animals, one of the country's top bands, are playing our intimate festival. They will help make Blissfields 2009 an unforgettable experience for those attending, definitely Something 4 the weekend!"

Blissfields dates are confirmed as Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th July, and it will be back at Bradley Farm, Bradley, Alresford, Hampshire for around 1,000 festival goers.

Blissfields is an intimate festival for all the family in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. This is a festival for people who want something as far removed from the big commercial festivals as you can get! There will be quality food and beer on sale all at a reasonable price.

Laura Marling has been announced as the Friday night headliner. Other confirmed acts include The Men They Couldn't Hang, Mumford & Sons, Gideon Conn, Subgiant, Thomas Tantrum, Barefoot Confessor, Beans on Toast, Cherbourg, Echaskech, Hijera, Imperial Leisure, Rebel Control, Ryan O'Reilly, Scarlet Soho, The Ashbies, and The Ramblings. Some of the DJ line-up has also been announced and includes Benzo, Chix, Sean Brosnan, Little Chief, Marcus Muktarsingh, MASS_IVE, Olly Salter, Steve Moore, Stran and Mike and The Head Gardener.

Tickets are priced at £41 for the weekend with camping, £25 for those aged 8-16 for the weekend with camping, there is no separate tariff for those not camping. Campervan tickets are priced at £20, and Thursday night camping available for an extra £7.50. Children aged under 8 are free.

The event is offering Thursday night extended camping, music and art workshops for adults and kids plus other assorted fun. There is an open mic session after the main stage closes on the Friday night. Plus tractor rides, pub price drinks with quality real ales and cider, food, craft, and festival stalls.

This year Blissfields are running an election campaign to be President of The United States of Bliss for the weekend. A ceremonial position, the winner will have a few fun duties to carry out - like opening the main stage - and will not want for anything during the festival, not even beer. They will be provided with an official residence and bask in the adoration of their subjects.

The election campaign will be carried out using Facebook groups: Quite simply, the one with most members will rule! The election campaign will take place throughout April and May, and will be a chance to win tickets if the event sells out, which at the moment is looking likely.
