I'm sure those bands (Korn, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Marylin Manson) will apeal to a lot of the audience, but to me those bands represent what was a very dry period for music, and whilst I wouldn't mind say one of those headlining, I think 3 of those headlining would be a very negative, backwards statement.

provided no theatrics from mr durst i reckon limp bizkit could still go down well, they're in no way relevant but everyone knows the tunes (it would be hard not to, kerrang still has them on heavy rotation), would be good in a bouncy way, same as manson was when i saw him at leeds few years back, no new songs just hit after hit and it was brilliant lol.

and i must be the only one who thought that "imagine accepting the truth" song was pretty damn good lol, didn't get the ep when it came out though.

Anybody else worried about the lack of information we've been recieving as of late?

Makes me think Download organisers have taken a massive risk and its gone tits up

I reckon we'll either get an announcement tonight, or in a few days an announcement saying there's going to be an announcement for next week. If that makes sense.

Don't know if they've already been mentioned, but Juliette And The Licks and The Gaslight Anthem are both playing Rock Am Ring in June, so they are quite likely for Download too.

Shin is happy... NFG now Strong Rumour :lol:

I'm going and so far they are the only rumoured band I like (maybe "like" is understating my devotion to them... but everyone knows that anyway)

I would guess that only one of those bands you mentioned would "headline"! Of course, I suppose it all depends on who else confirms, if indeed those four all do confirm.

For me personally, those four bands totally remind me of great times that I was having back in the day!! Limp Bizkit's "Rollin" makes me smile everytime!!!

I still think some of the bands in that American Festival could play at Download. I'd be really happy if Yeah Yeah Yeahs played :)

Surely theres a chance of Juilette Lewis at Download if shes in Europe at the time?

Im not so hopeful on Yeah Yeah Yeahs though bud, I hope they don't play Reading again, would be nice if V tried to book them, obviously for me!

They booked Sonic Youth before, who by the way have said they hope to play a couple of UK festivals this year...

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
