  1. Great band. Fantastic tunes and such a tight band. Plus you can tell they all love playing live, which I love to see. Saw them twice last year and can’t wait to see them again. 👌
  2. I remember seeing Muse supported by Hundred Reasons at Doncaster Dome in 2001 (I think? May have been 2002) and it was f**king fantastic. Still in my top 5 of all time. I’m sure the tickets were £9 each, all in. Good times. LG/JS are major league taking the piss with that. f**k those guys.
  3. I know Avalon have a recent reputation for booking acts which will overcrowd the field, but Gary Numan would surely be an epic mistake. It would be carnage IMO.
  4. 2013 and 2010 were class IMO. Loads of diverse but really interesting acts. However Fri in 2013 was a clashtastrophe of brain melting proportions.
  5. Earlier ones were for sure. I’ve got a framed 2009 poster from my first Glasto and it’s pretty much the full lineup.
  6. I just think a lot of people had expectations high. There was strong intel that it was likely to be Dua/Coldplay/Madonna, then this became Dua/Coldplay/Stevie Wonder, which then became Dua/Coldplay/SZA. Also seems SZA was originally an Other stage headliner and there had to be some last minutes shuffling, which feels plausible. However you slice it, either Madge or Stevie W are a bigger booking than SZA and balance the top line much better, both being legendary superstars. Oh, and it being Coldplay's 5th headline appearance this century looks like a lazy booking, with many regulars having seen them before. It's not bad. We just thought it was going to be better.
  7. From my "research" after the WH Spotify debacle and poster drop the acts I really like so far are Black Pumas (very old school sounding soul/rock with a bit of a twist) and Asha Puthli (Psychedelic soundscapes with a 60's/70's vibe). Still working through the list.
  8. Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers are a great band. Hoping they'll crop up at Glasto. Worth a listen if you don't know them.
  9. Representing K-Pop is my guess.
  10. Agreed. Loads of quality on show there and a really diverse mix. Jazz World in particular looked fantastic.

By that extension, any piece of art with a violent theme should be scrutinised and possibly cancelled. That's thousands of books, huge swathes of paintings and sculpture, all horror/murder mystery/crime podcasts, films and TV series and quite a lot of music. Grow up. It's fictional.
  12. Never stopped them before....
  13. Same. 4 songs in and I'm sold. ❤️
  14. Without more stuff on to divide the crowd, Faithless on Thursday will be insane, even if it's not at the Glade. Canning William's Green and then putting Example on the Glade was a moronic option, just shifted the problem to a more congested area if anything. If they are at the Glade and there's little on elsewhere, I'm not going near it. And sorry to hark back to TLC at Holts, but I think it's a clear case or crowd crust (again). From the Brothers Bar, pretty much all the way to the front on the left hand side of the sound desk there were loads of space. I was in a gang of about 15-20 and we (as well as most of those around us) were all dancing around like loons. It was only waiting to exit that we realised how many were in the field.
  15. But if she's not headlining Holts or Other, where would she fit? Screams Holts headline slot to me. If we do get a late curveball announcement I'll be de-f**king-lighted.
  16. One of the most underrated songwriters ever IMO. Build still gives me chills every time I hear it. And an all round thoroughly good bloke. Shame he's a dirty blade (Sheff Utd fan.)
  17. I'm struggling with the fact they missed out on Chaka Khan. The stars were perfectly aligned; she's touring, the actual line up so far seems light on legendary acts, plus she's both female and black. To use a footy analogy, it was a tap in. Plus she's the kind of act that if you've booked her, she's on the main poster so I can't see a later announcement. I'm properly f**king gutted.
  18. Yup. Nowt wrong with that. 👍
  19. Yeah. But that would be f**king mint! Tens of thousands of us dancing in the Pyramid and singing along with headphones on. That's the kind of lunacy I live for.
  20. We arrived about 35 minutes before from the direction of The Other stage and the entire crossroads and half of the "old" Glade was gridlocked. Sacked it off. When the said "Thurs Headliner" my mind immediately went to "Where's big enough/allowed to be open on Thurs?" and the obvious answer to me was IICON, assuming they've finished the build and soundchecks. Easier to manage the overcrowding too and wouldn't clog any major walkways.
  21. Agreed. This will be Williams Green all over again. Glade was chaos last year on Thursday when Example played, and he’s nowhere near the draw of this.
  22. Same. Obsessed now. My only must see on the poster. Watched them in the BBC Intro tent in 2009, playing to about 20 people and using a Macbook as the drummer. They looked about 14 at the time!
  23. I had to look up who D-Block were.
  24. That would make perfect sense. Avalon would be the obvious fit.
  25. The Fontaines/IDLES clash is clearly a victim of the last minute shuffling. SZA: Other - Pyramid, IDLES - last minute booking to replace SZA.
