Yeah, that's a pain at times but the Other field is so open on all sides I've always found it quite easy to navigate through the crowds. Especially if you come in from either side.

Gave SZA another good listen last night - both albums and a few of the collaborations. Not for me I'm afraid. Bang average IMO. No shade on the Fest if they are giving her a headline slot though. Clearly a huge artist on the way up and I'd be more than happy to be away from the Pyramid that night.

The whole crowd crust thing is mad. I've lost count of the amount of times I've been for a piss/drink and had to almost fight back through a 20 metre deep wall of gawpers around the edge of the field. Pyramid seems to be the worst, but I've experienced it at all the outdoor stages to some degree. I know everyone claims TLC at Holts was rammed, but from the sound stage to the wall of vendors as far back as Brothers there was loads of room.

Already seen them twice. And I'll be on holiday in Egypt that weekend!

I'd take it. Great live band with a huge catalogue of tunes. They'd be great.

I got me & Mrs 4AM tickets for The Hives at Rock City and Teskey Brothers at the O2 Apollo in Manc and whilst face value was about £40, once all the "handling" and "facility" and "booking" fees were included, there wasn't much change out of £100.

Don't know if you've seen the price of gig tickets these days, but I highly doubt that statement! I hate the big, soulless arena/stadium gigs generally so usually only go to smaller venues and I'm still dropping £50 or more on a ticket on most gigs once you factor in fees etc. unless it's a relatively unknown act.

Sounds more plausible if me/our group are a representative sample (c. 40 people between 17 - 55 y.o) Only 4 out of the group have even heard of SZA, but everyone would be up for O-Rod.

I'll be honest, with my eyes I was struggling to make out the difference in the little symbols! Shame as I'd have been up for it if he was supporting.

Honestly, it doesn't need the mat, it's very comfy as it is and as you're off the ground it stays warmer with just a sleeping bag.

Lord Huron is a good support too. Worth checking out if you haven't. Think I might be tempted by the Manchester gig.

Gorillaz weren't good either, but on as a very, very late sub so can be forgiven for that.

I've one of these: - Eurohike Utah 4 Leg Campbed | GO Outdoors Folds down small in it's own bag with shoulder strap, easy to put up and take down and surprisingly comfy. Had mine for years and it's still fine.

Not logged on all weekend as I was busy, but until this morning I'd never even heard of SZA and I'm fairly music obsessive. Just had her on Spotify for 8-10 tracks and I'm hugely underwhelmed to be honest. Reminds me of the vocal gymnastic R&B that was everywhere around 2000 - 2005. All the tracks sound very samey. Guess it's not for me.

I'm completely obsessed with Black Pumas now. Both albums are solid throughout, but Colors and More Than a Love Song are both STONE. COLD. BANGERS. I haven't been this excited about a newly discovered act in ages. Loving it.

Well. Catching up with this has been a rollercoaster. In summary - we know nothing. It's all speculation and rumours. So, nothing has changed really. And if they had Mulligan and O'Hare headlining, it would still be the best festival on the planet.

Sums up my feelings really. The one act I've seen most is Frank Turner. Including solo acoustic stuff and full band I think I've seen him 14-15 times. Silver medal goes to Therapy?, who I've seen 10 times over the last 30 years and will be seeing again in November.

I don't think anyone is denying that they're a massive act and have some huge tunes, just that they are 15 years past their "artistic" peak and tend to phone it in live. Last time I saw them was late 2008, just about the time they got huge with SOF/Use Somebody. That was a pretty decent setlist and performance, but every vid I've seen of them on stage recently, they could be statues. Closer is a top drawer opening track for a gig though TBF.
