  1. It's half three Tuesday morning and I'm thinking it's time I should go to bed. Back home and watching highlights. No hill to climb so I may just last another hour. With apologies to those who have work or school this morning. Or even yesterday. How do you do it?
  2. Went to see JC blind and deaf (never seen or heard before) purely on the back of this thread. Hadn't taken in it was you that started it Robert @stuartbert two hats. Bagged a great spot as well. About third row a little bit left of stage left. First thing I rewatched when I got home. What an undoubtedly talented multi instrumentalist. Typical BBC sound mixing that they didn't get his Steinway at all for the first couple of numbers, but then managed to get the crowd at the end spot on. And The Red Arrows! Always loved The Red Arrows (yeah military budget and all that). One of my first Airfix kits. Hung from the ceiling it was. Glasto moment for me. I may have got a bit James May. Saying that I thought the vocoder stuff was a bit cheese. Had a mate that was doing exactly that thing years ago. If you can afford the kit and study the manual and know a few chords... Last I saw them they were playing keys for Toyah. But I digress as usual. Great set.

    Carparks

Roads clear eh? Depends which way you're heading I'd guess. Ended up leaving about 6.15pm ish. Straight out to the A37 with no stopping and only two cars ahead of me (the front one was a really slow nervous driver mind). Google Maps is just genius (first time I've taken a smartphone). Various autoroutes will always tell you to turn right at that point but GM wasn't having it. "To avoid congestion on the A303...". I always really hate the congestion on the A303 with a vengeance, always hit it no matter what time I leave, so took it's advice and turned left and had the most wonderful, no stopping at all, stress free journey home ever*. Saw some lovely countryside to boot. Wish I'd used it on the way there as I forgot it was Solstice. Durrrrr. *Still think I'm getting through more coolant than I should be though. Stopped for more of that. Same for parking arriving traffic I've always thought. Back of a fag packet planning. Just seems so random. (I'm sure that there is some logic to it somewhere). But. They did finally sort out the human queue eventually. Gate B evolved again this year. No going constantly up and down through the guts of The Snake until things filled up. Unlike last year. Hopefully they'll work on the logistics of vehicles leavng. Everything can always be improved. I haven't heard horror stories of arriving traffic snarling up roads since 2016 I think. That may be a good weather thing though. Great Wednesday btw. Hope you were sober or not driving Sunday/Monday.

    Carparks

Thought I'd be safe aiming to leave at about 7pm from blue east 5. Beginning to wonder now. Think I'm leaking engine coolant and don't really want to get stuck in queues.
  5. I think that's it for Row Mead now Hope I'm wrong.

    Guns n Roses

Credit to the camera operators. Was giving it, "We're not worthy", bows to the screens at the shots of Slash's fretwork.

    Guns n Roses

So the fish has surfaced once more. Go deep sea again oafc.
  8. Is that path at the top of Row Mead new? Don't remember it from last year. Or was it behind the scenes then?
  9. Was surprised at how many left after Texas.
  10. Free University of Glastonbury I'd guess from the clue. Took me too long and I feel I've probably missed it now.

    Best Cake

The Cake Hole is back after its absence last year. A welcome return. Top of Acoustic.
  12. Actually witnessed some wristband shenanigans going on today whilst outside Astrolabe. Some bloke with hospitality access bands or something. Blatant as you like they were.
  13. Not me mate. Gate B. See you this evening probably.
  14. It's H&S over panicky bollocks if it's last minute I reckon. Do they ever plan properly in advance for G? I know it's a working farm but they've had years to nail this now. Always something last minute and always things never completely built or open on time. It'll just make Big Ground and Kidney Mead more crowded. The same amount of people will have to camp somewhere. (Beaten to it).
  15. f**k. That is last minute. Was just about to leave and was heading there. Been there for years I have. Sighs. Have to find another spot near those longdrops at the top then.
  16. Worked a bar one year where the sink water collection buckets were not getting emptied regularly, resulting in a swamp near the sink for the whole festival despite it being dry. Wrecked my trainers that year. Boots would have been better.
  17. I meant the power pack won't charge to above 86%, not the phone.
  18. Cough cough. That is Coquelles. In the Pas-de-Calais region probably, but technically trains leave from Coquelles (though some would argue it's actually Frethun) and ferries leave from the aptly named Port of Calais which used to exit pretty much right on the beach of the town of Calais. /pedantry You must be there by now? Are you there yet?
  19. I am thinking no alcohol at all AFTER (or a bit before) LNX. I want to absorb Reg but would also like to be more together on the Monday this time. Probably won't happen.
  20. Started watching We Love Glastonbury as I was out during the broadcast. Going to pour another pint I think.
  21. First time I've clicked into this thread. Having got the gist after a few posts was thinking of posting similar. Yeah. f**k that bollocks as well. Very selective this new obscene language filter isn't it. Edit: Definitely used a capital F in the word "f**k" there as well. It being the word starting the sentence and all that. I know that because this is the second edit.
  22. Bought myself both EE and Vodaphone SIMS, thinking my phone was dual SIM, it isn't, but I guess I'm getting coverage one way or another. Bought a power bank for phone. Stuck it on charge. It doesn't seem to want to charge above 86%. That'll be going back after the festival then if it doesn't fill overnight. Bought a pack of Orange Lucozade for breakfasts. Think I'm going to have to buy another one as have already drunk half of them. Can decant the vodka I got into those empties then. Got a box of Westons. Am already on my first pint of that. The taste takes me straight back to being sat outside my tent :) Got two bottles of sunscreen and other assorted toiletries. Got the rucksack, tent and wellies down from the attic. I have also been nodded in the direction of the possible loan of a possibly better trolley than my knackered old rusty thing. Went out 'cause I thought it had stopped raining. Then it totally f**king pissed down. Started really hoping those weather predictions for Tuesday night are well off the mark.
  23. Just got back home and tuned in. Noel Gallagher is a wit.
  24. And again! First one was during a "here's what to look forward to" montage I think. Then PSB.
