  1. Bryan Adams has added a June 13th date to his UK tour.
  2. As a civil servant I was not allowed to use volunteering days for the festival as it was deemed that I was "getting something out of it". Not even just for the 24 hours of actual shift time.
  3. Glad I spotted this. Haven't had an email myself despite having volunteered with Shelter four times (not since '19 mind). Is that an email from Avalon? I have registered interest but as of yet have had no confirmation. Couldn't see anything about a ballot. Also gutted that my nice little "in" has changed yet again (the coach only from Bristol makes it a bit of a 'mare for me). I never did find out if the coach change was a Shelter or Avalon decision. They cocked up the places in '20 (which became '22) as well iirc. How will Avalon be different do you think? Didn't know about that. Scandalous. Guessing the coach change was an Avalon decision then as it looks like they are sticking with the annoying Bristol only thing.
  4. Thanks. Proper time sink site that. Bookmarked.

    Pink Floyd?

I was also convinced he had really retired (and not just from touring). Do musicians ever really retire?
  6. Same with Sol Campbell (iirc) in '04. The disbelief swept slowly. As I posted earlier. 2010 was The Start of everyone turning up on The Wednesday imo. A lot to do with that game. 80,000 according to the Motty commentary. 60.000 if you read The Guardian. Top TV that. Is that the sometimes ITV wrestler Brian Glover? Saw him in a play on a school trip once. Tetley. Make Tea Bags. Make Tea. 2004 was incredible. Despite losing. Weds or Thu only though. Unless it's a final. It may have possibly got more lairy if they'd won? Brilliant. Out of upvotes. _____ As is traditional for me to post in these threads that crop up every two years: England v Germany V Slash into Ray Davies? Biggest no brainer ever.
  7. It was the Thursday. One of my top Pyramid memories. We were robbed. ______ I've always thought that there's a case to be made that the England V Somebody (possibly Lithuania?) game in a big competition kicking off late afternoon on the Wednesday one year was the start of the majority of people turning up on the day the gates open. First time we'd turned up on a Wednesday and struggled to get a camping spot. ______ Now that almost everyone brings a tablet or mobile I don't really see the need to set up a field or schedule a viewing Fri-Sun. Wed or Thu bring it on.
  8. Getting up in time for T day. Lol. But really seriously not lol. WTF is wrong with me? Biggest personal f**k up ever possibly.
  9. I am very much the bloody lamer this year.
  10. I am deeply ashamed to state that I overslept. Two alarms set for eight on ten minute repeat and I didn't hear one until 10:10. Ashamed is an understatement. Spent hours getting gadgets ready yesterday. Booked the day off of work. I feel sick. There is something very wrong with me. The BBC and Blondie kept me up last night.
  11. So a bit of Blondie 2023. Let's see if it's as bad as the haters said it was.
  12. I questioned my use of the word almost immediately after posting. Doesn't The Bible mention "The Lame" a lot? In a, "feel sorry for the lame", type of way? Limpers? Pretty sure I used the phrase to a colleague within the last fortnight, who'd knackered his knee yet again doing stuff he was told not to do. He took it in the spirit it was meant. As did the bloody supposed ticket buying group lamers who let me down last minute this time last year. Like most of the phrases I commonly use I'm sure I've nicked it from somewhere else. Not sure if I've ever had an original thought in my life. _______ So. Given the above context: People who can't keep up.
  13. Well that was just awesome! I'm just gagging to get through to See tomorrow* now. Now they're showing Blondie at the BBC for the next hour. I meant to get a good night's sleep tonight* for tomorrows* madness. *Technically today now. It's not tomorrow until you've slept/been to bed. Six hours kip will be enough right?
  14. Taking me back to last year and being let down almost literally last minute by bloody lamers. Came good in the end though (thanks @Dave_cagain).
  15. Blondie 1999 on BBC2 right now. Edit: Quite the line up that year: https://www.efestivals.co.uk/festivals/glastonbury/1999/stages.shtml
  16. Bricking it it after not a sniff of anything on Thursday. Spent a lot of time getting it together today. Ready to go with my desktop, work laptop and work phone all going through the house wifi and my mobile on 4g. Alarm set. Not sure if it's a wise idea but am off on a bit of a crawl to catch a couple of local bands (haven't been out since last Saturday and busy next weekend and as I had to take tonight off of work for tomorrow... is my reasoning). Will probably pop back in here when I get back.
  17. Just been reading last years thread. Just hitting "Clear all cookies" seems a bit drastic. Or do I need to do this to clear the "cache"? Can I just get away with deleting only Seetickets cookies? I'm being thick again. I know I used to know what a/the cache is.
  18. I've just deleted all cookies to do with See in the vague hope that it will help. Most of them were from earlier in the year but there were a couple from Thursday evening.
  19. Posted earlier. Think it was that. Didn't get anywhere.
  20. If it's sold out then why keep giving out the refresh page? Infuriating. I have two addresses on refresh: https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/event/glastonbury-2024-deposits/worthy-farm/3500011 https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/event/glastonbury-2024-ticket-coach-travel/worthy-farm/3500011 Guessing the first one is a step closer?
  21. Taking ages to refresh now. Good luck all 17:58
  22. I've got a holding/refresh page on three tabs now. Is it a real one or a decoy? Edit: Refreshed back to NEF.
  23. No Events found here. And whilst compiling this post, managed to hit this once. Let it refresh, went back to NEF. See above. How the heck did you get to a deposits page? It's getting real now!
  24. Time off not approved yet. Lucky there were slots left or I'd be f**ked. Not entitled but as stated before, cross at the short notice inconvenience after I had planned months ahead. You really are an arse of a troll.
