  1. This lady in red is good. Again missed the strapline.
  2. At camp while there's acts happening? I can't really talk. I semi dozed through Arctic Monkeys in my tent after only intending to quickly head back for something that I'd forgotten. And I've forgotten what that was now. Quite enjoyed that rapper on Other. Who? Missed the strapline. Stryper?
  3. I made it to The Pretenders. One of the great singles bands. Certainly the most enduring to come out of that crowd that included The Pistols, Banshees, etc... from that era.
  4. Aww that's a pity. Sweet dreams.
  5. Raye? Not aware of of this act. Not Amy Whitehouse.
  6. Stock Aitkin & Waterman numbers live on The Pyramid? Not what it was is it? (he types, and then thinks, "Oh yeah. Kylie") There's probably more examples. And that's the closest we've got to Queen with the We Will Rock You solo.
  7. Haven't seen anything yet that's made me think, "damn I missed that". When did Alex Turner forget that he's a lad from Sheffield and not a Vegas crooner? Oh yeah. The last time they headlined. Their first headline set was their best ('07? CBA to look it up. Shirley Bassey year).
  8. Just got back to FF. Did I only miss Texas?
  9. Ooh I'll hopefully be back for that (best three piece in town playing pub down the road from me).
  10. I thought The Stones was the year they first moved back the camping in RM? Or was that for Lionel/Dolly? Either way it never reverted back afaik and probably never will now. They're going to need another bar at the top.
  11. Leaving Blur in '09 for Black Eyed Peas, reasoning I had a Blur BST ticket for the next week. BEP used to be a great tight band but they'd started their descent into glorified karaoke by then. Should have learnt to "never leave anything you are enjoying" by now.
  12. They're going to need a closer bar.
  13. I think they are genuinely trying to use less water on site. Hence the "one sink for a whole block of longdrops at campsites" thing. Replaced by sanitiser pumps. This is the real answer then. I'm gutted I missed: The end of Guns N Roses. Was really loving it but really wanted to see The Steve Hillage Band at The Glade, reasoning that I'd be able to watch GnR back home but not TSHB. Timed it perfectly I did. And then TSHB were forty minutes late coming on! Still rocked though. I've seen SH there so many times in different set ups but never with a band. Was the SH set I'd always wanted to see. Blondie. Was one of my must see acts. Saw all of Yusuf. Started to make my way forward into the pit and then started to realise I just couldn't handle standing up for another couple of hours and that I hadn't eaten anything bar a banana for breakfast. Got some grub and then blew off The Hu and ended up watching Nish Kumar in Cabaret. Which was drowned out by sound bleed from a stage that was playing to about ten people but was as loud as the Pyramid. Realising now I could probably have made my way back to Blondie. I made a lot of mistakes this year. Feel like I only saw about a third of what I could have.Really didn't take my A game and am praying that it's not my last one.
  14. Really felt a bit of "the spirit" was missing this year. Felt like people would rather stare into their phones than engage in chit chat with randoms.
  15. It's weird. Despite the decrease in public camping and the increase in the size of tents people are bringing year on year, I have personally felt less cramped at camp the last two than pre pandemic. Saying that I do camp on the edge so have no need to "go deep".
  16. That's what I thought. Another thing that makes me doubt that closing RM to camping was a "last minute decision".
  17. Caught the end of that and the discussion afterwards. Stewart Lee yay. I heard a projector caught fire. May have been in the Sunday Free Press I read that. Not sure.
  18. Does anyone know the answer to the above?
  19. Torture an equine and we'll let you in.

    COVID

Still not keeping any solids down. Then I dozed off and suddenly it's four in the morning and I'm wide awake. That's gonna make today a bit of a challenge then.
  21. Myles Kennedy surely (beaten to it by @TheNewUnion). Personally I loved GnR and thought Axl was spot on. Really thought he showed the doubters. His timing was impeccable. Closer to what the recordings sound like than Reg was by a mile. Me too. Thought that what was this thread was asking. It's made me ill this year.
  22. They missed The Hives (again) so the title is already a misnomer.

    COVID

I have had really bad "the squits" since Sunday afternoon (which was awkward at the festival) and last night regurgitated my meal a couple of hours after eating it. Haven't kept anything down since. Also thinking bug or food poisoning. Possibly from the festival or maybe a dodgy Burger King on the way home. Not covid I presume as I did a test as soon as I got home (because I'm not a twat) which was negative. Will retest later today to be sure.
  24. Out of thanky upvotey things. Thanks. Time for bed.
