But they don’t, and that’s the point, the line up is what makes the festival what it is! We’re talking specifically about Elbow and why there being touted for the slot they might be in. Sunday late on, with the locals in attendance is the perfect slot for Elbow! If people don’t fancy it, there’s loads else, then rock up and enjoy Kendrick. I hope you’re not specifically referring to me, based on my previous post, being happy with Coldplay etc being headliners! not the case at all! But you certainly can’t accuse the Festival of booking a boring, in the past, line up, they will always book an Elbow and rightly so! There’s a shit load of punters of various ages to entertain!

The thing is, as has been said before, they are a friend of the festival and were booked for the 50th celebration as were many others to commemorate the occasion. High up Sunday is the perfect slot for them! They’ll draw a huge crowd, One day like this, will be their last song, it’ll have loads of happy punters singing along and it’ll many peoples highlight of the festival. That’s why they’ve been booked, not Spotify streams or tic tic hits! Because they suit Glastonbury.

Like a few others on here, I’m volunteering with Oxfam this year. I’m travelling down from Scotland on the Sunday and staying local, plan to be in the Oxfields bright and early pitched up and registered. Then it’s really a couple of days exploring the site before it fully opens on the Wednesday morning!

Caught Roddy from Idlewild last night doing a stripped back set, mix of Idlewild tunes and solo stuff, brilliant night really engaged with the audience and the Idlewild stuff sounded magic! Oh Sees tonight, will be a totally different kettle of fish and I can’t wait!

Headlining John Peel is perfect for them , potentially one of the best atmosphere’s of the festival
