  1. Sports Team and Yard Act to play William's Green on the Thursday.
  2. Wireless is supposedly having 2 weekends now, so it's a bit odd that they haven't said anything about it at all yet. Definitely think they'll go with a guitar based rock option against Capaldi, whether that's someone like Fontaines or Marr, I don't know. Saw Johnny Marr supporting Courteeners in Manchester last year. Courteeners were good, but Johnny Marr was fantastic, totally upstaged them in my opinion. The main thing that stops them selling out more quickly is getting the lineup out so late. It means a lot of people have either moved on or decided other plans for the summer, a lot of people have to request leave quite a bit in advance so it definitely has an effect on people. I think this could be one the longest we've had to wait for a lineup, except last year, but I think that was mostly down to covid and them wanting to make sure it was 100% going ahead before announcing.
  3. It really depends. The drivers have to take breaks every so often, so you could be 30 minutes drive away but they have to take a 30-40 minute break. We got the coach from Manchester last time, and our driver got lost trying to get into the site, which probably added 30 mins on. They had to get a regular punter on the coach to help with directions, who sort of knew the way. It was a bit frustrating but the benefit is you don't have to wait in a huge queue once you arrive. There's a separate enterance for coach arrivals at Gate A so it didn't take long to actually get into the site once we were there.
  4. We've gone from: Soon > Very Soon > Soon > Very Soon. This line-up better be cracking otherwise I'm tempted to consider Green Man. Yeah there's some great names on there, if it was in Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds I'd contemplate buying a ticket for one of the days. Sports Team and Self Esteem could be booked for the tent, think they'd work better there than the main stage. Johnny Marr could do an afternoon slot a la Supergrass or could be booked to sub. Idles or Simz would headline the tent most likely, and I don't think there's room for them this year. I don't know much about Ezra Collective, either mid main stage or high up tent maybe. Hope Wet Leg are booked again, been trying for tickets for their Manchester gig for ages with no luck. My biggest regret at Latitude 2021 was not getting there early enough. I turned up 15 minutes before and got in a huge queue that didn't really move so I couldn't get in. I'd like them to be booked for the tent, and I'll make sure to get a good spot this time.
  5. Is it LCD Soundsystem? I don't want to get my hopes up for someone I don't care about.
  6. I don't think it is. They already have a run of UK dates.

This pretty much sums it up for me. I mostly listen to music that has lyrics that I either relate to, understand, or get something more than just words out of them. But with Kendricks music, none of them happen for me, and I don't enjoy the lyrical themes, in the same way I don't enjoy someone like Kanye's. I'm not really a fan of his voice either. The way I see it is, music is kind of like food. Everyone has their favourites, and there'll be some that others absolutely love, but no matter how much you consume of it, you'll never like it, and there's not really much point in trying to. Although it can be worth giving it a go from time to time if your feeling it.

How early would you need to get there for Macca if you want to be in the front pit section? Managed to get in for Killers and Cure by turning up 15 mins before the changeover and going down the side of the pyramid field. But if it's Noel into Macca I'm not sure it will be as successful.

Two can play at that game. I'd love to see Radiohead headline someday, hope they've got one more killer headline set up their sleeves. If / when the play, I'll do just about anything to get there, there's no one else I'd rather see headline.

Arctics, Swift, Radiohead Yeah, rumoured to be in that order with Billie "replacing" Swift and then switching the days round. I think Swift will play next time she tours, which I'm guessing is next year.

They're in France on the Friday.
  12. What did people not like about Arcade Fire? Their show looked incredible on TV, and I thought their setlist was great, was a bit Reflektor heavy but would of been fine by me.
  13. If we're breaking European exclusives, let's get LCD to come over a smash a West Holts set.

Just following your logic, if Macca was announced for TW Classic which I think he was supposed to play in 2020, would we be ruling him out?

Was anyone actually performing live? Thought everyone was miming.

If Macca is out, the Stones would be great. If they're playing TW Classic they could definitely be in with a shot if Macca can't do it, would be the ideal like for like really.
  17. I think they're probably headlining the tent, like they were meant to in 2020. Although judging on previous years, it looks like they're only given an hour which is absurd. Will be interesting to see what the setlist looks like if they can only play for 1h, never seen them before so don't really know what to expect. I guess you just have to go in with an open mind and not be too precious about what songs they decide to play?
  18. I'm getting bored of trying to predict when the announcement will be (no hate to anyone, keep guessing if that's your thing). We've been thinking "next couple of weeks" since the start of the year so I've kind of just accepted it will come when it does, and I may not like it, instead of setting myself up for disappointment.
  19. Latitude haven't announced their lineup yet so there's nothing ruling them out right? There's a decent chance of me going to Latitude this year and it'd be great to have them as an option.
  20. Black Country New Road have been announced for a couple of festivals, including Green Man today. I don't see them booking Lionel Richie really. I think the person who runs the twitter probably doesn't know when the lineup announcement is and is just told to keep alternating between "soon" and "very soon" whilst posting pictures of the site.
  21. Out of interest, how hard would it be to get a couple of regular weekend tickets? That line-up is tasty, and could be another option if another festival doesn't work out etc.
  22. Green Man has just announced their line-up. Some great names on there, kinda jealous, would hope that Latitude gets something like it. I'm sick of waiting though, these "soon" tweets don't increase my excitement, they just piss me off when they're shown to be bullshit.
  23. I mean, Black Country, New Road have just released the greatest album of the decade, which kind of makes it the best album of the year, and therefore the best album of February 2022. I'm also excited for caroline's debut coming out February 25th, loved each of the singles so far. The new Animal Collective album has been pretty good as well.

adequate8 who has messaged Neil good quality info in the past and is pretty reputable, has heard it's Foals. They're supposedly booked for Friday other, replacing QOTSA.
  25. Host brings up alumni of Brit School but didn't mention the #1 to come out of that school. Should've given a shout-out to Black Midi.
