  1. Anyone else at the Victoria Warehouse in Manchester tonight? Looks like it's going to be a big one.
  2. Was at the YES basement for the first time last night watching Enola Gay. I only realised about a month a go that I could actually get in, as they have wierd rules surrounding the restrictions of the gigs. Most ticketing websites list YES as strictly 18+, but if you click access information it says that under 18's are allowed in the gig if they're with an adult. We had to show the guy on the door a print out that under 18's were allowed and that we had an email from the owner. They were very adamant that I could only go into the gig and if I went in any other part they'd kick me out, they've probably got some tight licensing agreements. First support band was fantastic, it was post punk with added saxophone. It was like BC,NR let loose a bit more on their first record. The guitarist and saxophonist would be playing two separate parts and then suddenly would start to join up and play together getting more and more intense. It was really enjoyable and was better than the act I was primarily there to see. They're called "Maruja" if anyone wants to check them out Second support band was a bit boring in my opinion, loud post punk with lyrics that you couldn't hear. Instrumentals were good though, but it started to grate after a while. Think they're called "Yabba" but I can't find them on Spotify. Enola Gay were good but not great, partly because the support was fairly similar to them. So when you've had 40 mins of shouty post punk that your getting slightly bored of, having another hour or so on top of that isn't the best mix. I bought the tickets a while ago when they only had a couple of songs out, and they've released some new stuff which I don't think is as good, but that's the risk you take with new bands. Venue seemed alright. Was really packed, so could only get in a couple of steps from the door for the first support, although it cleared a lot between the bands. Sound was good, although pretty loud for that size venue. It gets bonus points for having seats at the side so you can sit down between the bands. It was also really hot. I'd get a drink of water next time as it gets warm in there with all the bodies and not much space to move about. But overall not bad venue or bands, I prefer the Deaf Institute for that size of venue though.
  3. Yep. They're on this section of the site: https://shop.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/collections/posters Here's 2019's one where it says it's A2: https://shop.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/collections/posters/products/2019-poster The mount covers a very small amount of the poster, so it can be a bit fiddly getting it to line up (see what I did there?) perfectly, and getting it so it's centred in the middle of the frame with the same amount of border on each side.
  4. The posters are bought directly from Glastonbury, you're able to buy them for most years online. The frames are by "FRAMES BY POST". They've got a website, but I think we bought them from Amazon as it's a lot easier to find what you're looking for on there as you can search the sizes more easily.
  5. As you can see, I've also got 2016 and 2017's posters framed. I think they look great. I'm planning to swap 2016 out after this year's festival.

    Arcade Fire

I saw this on Twitter. Was anyone listening on Radio 6 or know anything more? Would be great to see them this year.

    Arcade Fire

I just had them playing on Spotify in the background and didn't realise the song changed, which I'm guessing is the idea, but why?
  8. Why would anyone buy Gold Circle West over Gold Circle East? Unless East is sold out, otherwise your probably going to end up with a worse place. It's also a bit annoying how big the Gold Circle is at Anfield, but we ended up with some great seats for a good value price, so it will be a real experience seeing them for the first time.
  9. How hard will it be to get Stones tickets for Anfield in either main or presale? I'd take standing, seating or lucky dip if it's available. I'm guessing they'll be way more demand than supply so has anyone had any experience in buying them before? Thanks.
  10. Is it the same price for a Manchester ticket? Support is decent, though I'd have much preferred Dry Cleaning which London has got, I'd be willing to pay more if it was them.
  11. I saw quite a few people leave after they started playing which I thought was funny. A few were intrigued like "ooh, there's going to be a band on", but I don't think they were expecting Squid. Just out of chance, were you the person who went round asking a few people if they were there to see Squid? I was sitting against the barrier and someone in (I think?) their late teens or early 20's asked me if I was there for the indie rock music or Squid, and when I told them I was waiting for Squid they got excited that there was actually a few fans there. Mentioned that I listened to a bit of Radio 6 and some other post punk bands, and it was like they'd found their long lost twin. I don't think I've ever had someone that excited to see me. They were actually really nice. It wasn't you by any chance was it?
  12. Saw Squid twice last year, at Latitude and Leeds and they were great at both. So they're high up my list this year. I read some of the reviews of people seeing BM at Green Man last year, and it looks like they don't change how they are for a festival set, so it'll be interesting bringing my group to go and see them. I hope they aren't too high up Park on Saturday as it looks like I might be at the Pyramid for a while that day. Phoebe on Friday Park would be fantastic. Hope they've for her headlining it and not doing an Other stage slot. The Park setup fits her style perfectly, so it has the potential to be an all time great Park headline set. If she ends on I Know the End it will be a perfect, "WE'RE FINALLY BACK AT GLASTONBURY!" moment. So I really hope she's got that slot.
  13. Cheers. I'm surprised they were booked for Park in 2020 though. Played WG in 2019, and I don't think they'd have been much bigger the year after without much music, or a debut album out yet. Just need Black Midi to be on there now, a lot of predictions on here are putting them on JP which I'm not a huge fan of.
  14. Where did Squid confirm for Park? I'd love to see some of the other post-punk bands on there as well.
  15. Primavera lists them as a European festival exclusive, so probably won't be at Glasto as they're not playing any other European festivals.
  16. The Reflektors (Arcade Fire)
  17. Already had my heartbroken over LCD just playing in London.
  18. Think that tent will be rammed, recommend getting there a bit early if you want a decent spot.
  19. Phoebe's tour has sold well. Six UK dates gone almost instantly. O2 Academy Birmingham (3000 capacity) O2 Apollo Manchester (3500 capacity) x2 O2 Academy Brixton (4900 capacity) x3 So that's 22,000 tickets sold in under an hour, with demand for more. I think the tent will be absolutely rammo. Does anyone know the capacity of the Sounds tent? Maybe something like 10,000? I think they're going to need a bigger tent...

    2022 Must Sees

*Whilst watching Haim* "Is there much to see after this? Let me take a look at the clashfinder, who's on next?" "Nah mate, there's nothing good on till Macca, we've got like 2 hours to kill" "Do you wanna go and explore the site then?" "We've just spent the last few days looking around, I want to watch something" "So is there nothing else to do at the moment?" "No. Well, there is Black Midi but we'd really be scraping the bottom of the barrel with that one" "Fuck it, do you wanna go and watch Black Midi then?" "Go on then, I guess there's nothing better for us to do" I find it funny that someone would put them in that category, no hate though. I don't know how many people would put them in the category of "would only see if there's nothing else on", think they're quite marmite usually. I hope to see a few people with camping chairs and picnic blankets just before they're on. There were a few families watching Sons Of Kemet in 2019, not realising what was about to ensue as the Park was filling up for Foals.
  21. I still think there's a decent chance she's not subbing. I think we could be missing a Friday sub though.
  22. My point is that there's lots of slots this year that you think are impressive gets, that you might not expect in a normal year. So what makes Doja different to other acts that they've managed to get into smaller slots? I'm curious. There's lots of acts that you could say sub / headline everywhere else they play but then play a lower slot at Glasto.
  23. If Glasto can get O-Rod to play when she's not doing other festivals, and all the other slots you use to describe Glasto as the GOAT, why can't they get Doja Cat to play 3rd down?

    Idles

Jokes on you, I can't legally drink in a bar. Although Black Country, New Road are the best band going at the moment.
  25. Just went in for a quick look for about 40 minutes, was my first Glasto but wanted to see what it was about. I was really tired so can't remember much about it at all. I'm going to make sure to check out the late night stuff this year a lot more than last time. At the end of a really hot day I didn't have much energy to stay up late, so just had an introductory look at what was going on at Arcadia and SE Corner. Suprisingly yes, if your not fussed about seeing anything specific there and just want to roam around for a bit. Jon Hopkins played for about 90 minutes. So we watched the first 30 minutes or so, then went in the SE corner for about 40 minutes, then watched the last 20 minutes of his set. Will definitely spend more time there this year. I'll need to conserve my energy if it's hot, as I was on my feet for pretty much the whole time I was awake during the weekend. Didn't sit down much, or take time in the shade, and was dashing back and forth between sets for hours at a time.
