  1. Who do you think will get the biggest tent crowd? There's a lot of kids up for Capaldi and a lot of mums and dads up for Snow Patrol. They put James in the tent against Solange in 2018 and Solange had a tiny crowd compared to James.
  2. I think the top three on Obelisk and Sounds will be day splits. Lewis Capaldi vs Pheebs Foals vs Groove Armada Snooze Patrol vs Fontaines
  3. Latitude must love Snow Patrol to absolute death and must be begging for them to play. Been booked for 2019, 2020, 2021 and now 2022. Seems like an unhealthy one sided relationship as they've pulled out twice.
  4. Yeah. When they announce late, a lot of people like me, have already taken the initiative and looked at who's touring and bought tickets and planned to see them elsewhere. So when you announce a lineup with no one special on it, it's pretty boring. I do go to more gigs than the Latitude demographic though, so it probably fits for the families who only go to one festival a year and no gigs.
  5. Annoyed that King Gizzard are no longer there, they were booked in 2020 and have seemed to roll over most of their tour, same with Kiwanuka.
  6. Can't wait for Chapple to come on here and get excited at the idea of being able to see Snow Patrol, Manics, James Arthur, Shed Seven and Tribes in the same weekend.
  7. I think it's shit, I've done a more detailed response in the Latitude thread. Very disappointed as I had a great time last year.
  8. I think it's pretty shit compared to last year. Foals are ok, but have tickets for tour, and playing Glastonbury. Snow Patrol are a bit meh. I like Manics but I'm already seeing them. Phoebe is good but could see at Glasto. Fontaines D.C are pretty easy to see at the moment. Then the only ones I actively like are Let's Eat Grandma, Porridge Radio and KEG. The rest I either don't know well, haven't heard, or think are shit. I had my expectations low, but my god is that disappointing.
  9. Interested to see what people think.
  10. I presume it's just them announcing their album, don't think we have a date for it yet.
  11. I found the comments online funny about the circle poster. People were saying fire the designer etc. I'm pretty sure it was Stanley Donwood who designed the poster, which if you know anything about him, you'll know he's not just another artist.
  12. It was the same time I think. I was on the website not the Twitter, which had this version so I never experienced the circle dilemma.
  13. Shed Seven were one of the worst bands I saw last year. Very dull and they played the ending of Chasing Rainbows on repeat for about 10 minutes. Looking at Phoebe Bridgers tour dates I really hope she's at Latitude or Glasto. She's playing Manchester over Latitude weekend and B'Ham over Glasto weekend. She could sub or 3rd down Obelisk or maybe headline the tent (if I hadn't suggested pretty much everyone for a tent headline). I'd really like to see: The Smile, Michael Kiwanuka and Phoebe Bridgers play over the weekend. Foals would be interesting with the Latitude demographic. But I'd prefer someone a bit more exclusive to play. I've got tickets for their UK tour and they're heading the other at Glasto. So even though I prefer Foals music, I'd take Florence over them. But if its Foals vs someone like Lewis Capaldi or Alt-J, you already know who I'm picking.
  14. Thought PVA were really disappointing, and I'm a fan. They played a lot of unreleased stuff and only played a couple of ones I knew at the end. But the didn't play their most well-known / biggest song, Divine Intervention. Not sure what it is with these new bands not wanting to play their most popular songs. I was excited to see them as they'd cancelled on me at a festival because of covid, so I'd been wanting to see them for a while. Wasn't best pleased and its definitely reduced my enthusiasm about them.
  15. Going to go with Wednesday at 8am. With a balances are now open message on Tuesday.
  16. Is this a prediction, or have they actually self-confirmed? Been looking and I can't find anything online, it isn't listed on their website or songkick or anything. Unless they've self confirmed, I don't think they'd play. We've suggested loads of tent headliners so I think all the slots will be taken. There's no reason King Gizzard won't have rolled over. Fontaines D.C might have rolled over their slot and I think they'll have a non rock band for the 3rd slot, maybe Arlo Parks or someone.
  17. Think this is incredibly unlikely, not even a wildcard. With no dates, and no reason to do a one off, I don't see why he'd play. I don't think he's big enough to headline either.
  18. Could maybe see Buggman playing over the weekend. Happy Mondays possibly as well. Would be a real shame not to get Horrible Histories, would go down a storm on Obelisk. Y Not announced and it isn't Charlatans, so could still be at Latitude. They've actually got a pretty impressive lineup. It's a bit samey as they've basically booked every indie rock band on the scene at the moment, but if it's that your thing then it looks like a pretty good weekend. They've also got some great names lower down that I'd quite like to see at Latitude. I'd take: Yard Act, Dream Wife, The Mysterines, Jaws, Sorry, Baby Queen, Do Nothing and Honeyglaze.
  19. I hope not, no-one on there I'd like to see. Although some of them are definitely your family friendly indie rock bands who had a couple of hits in the 90's or 2000's which Latitude sometimes likes to book.
  20. I'm pretty sure. He posted these dates last year, and I think all of them have been rolled over.
  21. Thought she decided to announce Simz on the way there. And the interview was a fair bit of time after the tweet, two weeks I think?
  22. Did anything ever come of those Glasto twitter accounts saying something was imminent in January? Don't think any of them know better than us. They're just speculating.
  23. That's really good. If I lived in Edinburgh I'd be all over this. Sunday looks particularly good. Interested in The National, Mogwai, Bombay Bicycle Club and Black Country New Road. And clashes depending I'd check out Simz and Self Esteem potentially.
