  1. Ok then open the gates on Tuesday and make Wednesday your Thursday! Please excuse me at the moment. On holiday and had more than a few drinks
  2. Main stages open on a Thursday as a one off for next year would be awesome but the licence wouldn’t permit it. We can but dream!
  3. There’s always a fine line between wackiness and originality that @crazyfool1never crosses.
  4. Couple we know got their refund almost immediately but that was last year
  5. Sitting outside a pub I. Jersey. Sunny and hammered
  6. Yes , arrived on time, headed up north for a pub meal! And got my negative COVID test result six hours after arriving . It’s great that jersey gives you a free PCR test on arrival at the airport
  7. Congratulations, not on the failed MOT but for the forthcoming arrival. Just back from seeing two our grandkids before we head off on hols, boys aged 2 and 5. Absolute carnage in the house but full of happiness.
  8. Good news for us, Case packed, we’re to heading for a wee break in Jersey and hope the weather stays decent. Flying not driving/ferry so sadly won’t have an excuse to have a slight diversion and overnight stop in Glastonbury and Pilton!
  9. Regina Specktor. Without the clouds and rain this time Dea Matrona, a female rock band from NI who are breaking through at the moment. And my JP highlight of 2016 and 19 Aurora.
  10. Sam Fender playing the Hydro in Glasgow in March. Big venue for him, looking forward to it. Hopefully on the farm as well
  11. Royal Blood on the road next year. Would love to see them headlining on the other possibly
  12. Yes of course. go for it. To be honest it’s harder going down than up them, they can be slippy and covered in sheep shit. The photo is the upper section, the other bit is below the tree line and where in my youth we had illicit drinking and smoking soirées. And, here’s the soppy bit, the place where I proposed Once up top it’s high moorland.
  13. And it’s ideal training for the Glastonbury so called hill of death and the Worthy View steps! They are are piece of piss compared to the steps in the picture, and that’s only the second half of them!
  14. Yes, always loved living here. But there’s beauty everywhere in the UK. And you see why I appreciate visiting the flatter lands of Somerset for walking!
  15. climbed my own stairway to heaven this morning, up into the hills. Knackered but exhilarated.
  16. So yet again Michael won’t get his Fleetwood Mac Sunday on the pyramid.
  17. Yes, roasting hot I remember that, we were perched on the edge of the wall between the field and the path next to the big slide thing. Ridiculous thing for a man of my age to do. He deserves a bigger stage if his popularity keeps increasing. Great songs written during the lockdown including what are we going to do Glastonbury weekend.
  18. Beans has become a kinda tradition for us. Just sums up the festival and he’s not averse to going for a wander and happy to chat to anyone as we found out in 2019. His Thursday on the Greenpeace was absolutely rammed.
  19. Hopefully things start moving in the right direction for you and the international contingent. Avoiding the terrible death and cases totals will certainly be awesome for you. Getting the vaccination rate up over 90% is I reckon vital. Today I was in a football crowd of 50000, it felt normal and had the proof of vaccination app on my phone. Sorry to hear about the loss of income, I’ve a mate here whose main cash source is from playing in a successful wedding/events band. Only now is he beginning to earn. It’s so good to get live music back not only in the big venues but also in the pubs and clubs. I am sure we will see all those flags from around the globe on the farm next June!
  20. Has a date been set for the resale? Assume with the balance payments due by March 7 it will be around mid March. So less time for everyone to wait and at a time when maybe more folk will able to help since it’s not the usual Easter holiday time.
  21. Just Got a text from a mate saying that on the news it said Bernard Tapie had died. He actually said who will write songs for Elton John now. And knowing my former colleague I know he wasn’t joking.
  22. Lovely. Is that in Cerne Abbas?I remember we spent a few hours wandering around that village years ago but can’t remember a pond. I also recollect driving out of the village and stopping nearby at what was meant to be the smallest pub in Britain! Anyway, great painting.
  23. Can I echo that sentiment. Would this have been ticket day? I had thought it might have been next Sunday as the Thursday coach sale is on the first Thursday in Oct. maybe I’m wrong, anyway it’s all academic now. There will be a helluva lot of assistance come the resale, hopefully it will be earlier than usual.
