  1. In a nutshell! And appeals to the wider tv audience that watches the festival from home. (Unless it’s those unfortunate enough not to get a ticket). Having said that he would fill the field and even those sceptical tend to enjoy it and the party atmosphere it can create. Bit like me and guilty pleasures like the proclaimers and bootleg beatles!
  2. I can’t see him ever headlining with the emergence of other acts such as Billie Eilish etc. As you say reckon he’d be quite happy subbing Sunday. A good act for that spot and suits the general tv audience. Bands like biffy and Mumfords I can see heading the other stage. Good alternatives for those who might not be as keen on the new contemporary acts.
  3. If nothing else it Will keep us entertained through the long dark winter months. A stark contrast from last year.
  4. It’s really open , only one thing for it, get the main stages open on Thursday for one year only😁(I know it’s non starter). It’s quite a list of exciting possibilities but I’ll probably end up at the PSBs on the other stage !
  5. Tremendous atmospheric photos. Great to know how accessible the pyramid skeleton is.
  6. Not yet, might try the magic roundabout and in the night garden, very hallucinogenic. Must admit he did totally get into thunderstruck and whole lotta Rosie , headbanging with grandpa. That’s ma boy!
  7. Congrats, reckon four enough for us, just spent an afternoon entertaining two of them. Introduced the six year old to AC/DC. It’s time he put aside childish things such as peppa fucking pig and fireman Sam.
  8. Anyone going to beautiful days check out Dea Matrona, an Irish female band.
  9. Excellent, was hoping for a view of the night sky. Obviously not possible during the festival. Now just stay away clouds. Off to pack the binoculars
  10. We’ve stayed with Jenny before if it’s who I think it is! Had a great time there
  11. Weather looks decent, hopefully it stays that way for the remaining few weeks on the farm! How does the night sky look when it’s clear.? Any stray light?
  12. The heat of 2017! For some reason of all the photos I’ve taken at the festival this is my favourite.
  13. Yes they are, really looking forward to getting there!
  14. Q1, come on Michael, hows about a few tickets for the e fest resale crew?
  15. No, next weekend but only for the three days
  16. Ta! We’ve got two single air beds which lets you put one on top of the other during the day giving more space to move around, get dressed etc
  17. Interesting, don’t remember having a partition in the two person scout tent that we’ve stayed in at Worthy View. I assume it rolls up if not needed, there are occasions when it might be a bit of an inconvenience 😉. Then again after a curry........
  18. Would most likely sell out with locals if it happened. With the September equinox thing cancelled we had booked /cancelled accommodation for different dates that month before the date was firmed up. Got a bit fed up doing the premier inn Hokey Cokey. In out in out till we knew it was off!
  19. the bit at the entrance is where we take a bit of extra groundsheet for when at Worthy View
  20. The view from our lime kiln pitch in 2017
  21. If the two man scout tents are identical as the ones at Worthy View then a good hint is to take a spare piece of groundsheet for the small porch part of the tent. A good place to store wellies chairs etc, prevent any dampness getting to them and tramping mud into the inner tent. Essential if the weather is wet. Unless of course that’s been added to the tents since we last stayed in them.
  22. Enjoyed that documentary/interview that was on last week. I reckon she will continue to evolve and change direction with every album she makes.
  23. Do you get a tent number and field location prior to arriving? Already got my e-ticket and car pass
  24. And we all don’t speak like Rab C Nesbit!
