  1. Same here in 2016 but unlike you I didn’t stay upright. Walking up the incline from the other field to the railway line around midnight in a big crowd the welly got stuck in the mud and down I went. This was greeted by a loud cheer from all and a chant of ‘He fell over,He fell over’. Once Mrs C stopped laughing I managed to retrieve the welly .
  2. Sad to hear of the death of Sidney Poitier, in the heat of the night, to sir with love etc, probably reruns of them will be aired .
  3. No. Not him, Its someone else, how often have we heard the crowd say ‘Oh Christ, it’s Chris Martin’
  4. Ah. I got mixed up with the rolling stone outside his cave.
  5. Yes I found that at worthy pastures as well. So much untrampled long grass(well it is a farm after all!) that we just aren’t used to and had to slither back to the west holts car park to get the wellies. Definitely going to invest in waterproof socks. of course this thread is academic as the weather is going to be dry and sunny.
  6. A make called Lukpol , got them on Amazon a few years back. I’ve never tested them in a Glastonbury 2016 style mud bath but tramped across sodden muddy fields here and they were ideal. And we’re fine at worthy pastures . Obviously they came with me in 17 and 19 but weren’t required! @balti-pie never tried them in hot weather but would imagine they wouldn’t be too bad,
  7. Waterproof, excellent tread and fleecy lining for comfort . With hiking boots as back up.
  8. Missed that year, what stage? Did he sub the Rolling Stones?
  9. Yes, I found it harrowing and a hard watch . You mentioned the two tremendous performances, I agree. The sheer incompetence and arrogance of the initial police investigation was frightening.
  10. Watching Digging for Britain, fascinating. Mrs C reckons my sudden interest in archaeology is because of Prof Alice Roberts ,I can’t possibly comment on that. Didn’t she give talks at the free university of Glastonbury at the festival in 2017? Hopefully back this year and onto my clashfinder.
  11. Same for me. But that’s just down to musical preferences and Kendrick was never on our must see anyway. I know many would love to see him. Flo would be great and help towards the gender balance that Emily is quite rightly keen on . To be honest it’s just brilliant to be discussing headliners etc!
  12. Yes that’s correct. We can’t be seen at WV with any old survival sleeping bag. So we have to upgrade, perhaps something filled with duck feathers to go with our duck egg omelette breakfast. 😉

So is this a tent pole?
  14. Loved the collaboration with Sparks, FFS, back in 2015 JP stage. Two bands made for each other! Would love to see them on the other.
  15. So are we likely to get some official announcement on the website or a sneaky subtle hint like a poster in an oxfam shop window?
  16. Sympathise with you, suffered for a few years with that, and yes walking on hard surfaces can be agony. Very painful especially in the morning. Eventually bought Orthoheels inserts for my shoes, on the advice of the specialist in a Dr Scholls shop. They basically realign the way the foot moves. After a few weeks the pain went, though always kept the inserts. They were about 30 quid a pair . just reading through the replies is there any efesters not suffered from this! 😊
  17. Did exactly the same. The Xmas stuff now behind the camping gear. Had a look at it and decided to buy new sleeping bags , rectangular ones to replaced those mummy style ones .
  18. Excellent performance from Angela Rayner on pm questions. A contrast from what we had to suffer up here with sturgeon speaking from her bunker doing her best private Fraser from dads army impersonation
  19. Can’t see any reason why not, just join the hopefuls!
  20. Nice to see the 90+ percentages on here! 100% for me. It’s just as well worthy farm is in rural Somerset and not up here in Scotland. The MacEavises farm would be restricted to 500 folk standing 2m apart and arrested if they dared dance or sing. The sacred space would be replaced by the Sturgeon worshipping altar with the faithful chanting ‘It’s Westminsters fault, give us more money’. rant over. 100%,bring it on.

The duck egg omelettes are top notch
  22. Onto the last episode now, just gets better and better. As you said, twists and turns all the time and the dark humour is just great. No spoilers of course but recommend it to all.

Next to Hichin is lime kiln which we found is less of a slope and a decent breakfast tent nearby. The Long drops in the trees at the JP are probably IMO the best on the whole site. Always well cleaned and the tree canopy provides a calming atmosphere, if required, for a long squat!

Voted for our favourite zone 4, such as Hichin and Lime Kiln , near JP and Pyramid, always had nice neighbours, great views over site though a distance from SE if that’s your thing. But now go to Worthy View as age catching up on us! Still hanker over our favourite spot.
