  1. One of our gang have signed up for the Oxfam Shindig deal.
  2. If West Holts was its own festival I’d go to it.
  3. I saw him play twice last year, I’d really recommend seeing him.

    Glastocam!

We need a military grade geostationary spy satellite providing a continuous feed.
  5. I did the merchandise at my small local venue at a gig last week. All £625 received went to the band. It makes a huge difference to the viability of smaller gigs.
  6. They deserve more recognition than they get for their music.
  7. Yeah, I'm summarise it all as: if the guest is directly relevant to the song, or adds something important to it, it's a good thing. If it's just 'hey look at my famous friends' and it's more of a distraction to the set, then forget it!
  8. Chris Martin’s bringing out Hobo Jones for their version of Yellow.
  9. Maybe I’m naive but I’d believed many do for free, or maybe just travel costs? I’d have thought if McCartney rings you up requesting you to do a song with him you wouldn’t be saying how much is it worth?
  10. Almost certainly Thursday afternoon 2023
  11. I expect you’re right, as Fairport are still a headliner it’s pushing it, I saw them about 10 years ago and they were ancient then!
  12. Look at our line up & rumours page, WH complete or close to. Someone in the WH team made a playlist, then it was taken down. Everything on the main poster for WH confirmed the info was accurate
  13. I took a look, worth sharing their comments: https://www.fairportconvention.com/ click on Festival
  14. I'm surprised the festival don't announce the Greenpeace line up? Outside of the list above it must be the biggest, and with strong links to the festival of course. (The other posters not listed are really small as you say: Rocket Lounge, Deluxe Diner, Mandala, Rishi's Yard, Babylon Uprising, etc)
  15. N'Famady Kouyate is really good, I saw him twice last year (He was the Glastonbury new artist winner 2023).
  16. Thanks, I've sent the info to the boss!
  17. The Acoustic stage is exactly the same. With exactly the same acts! 😆
  18. It's fascinating. Provides such a different perspective. I'm thinking it's the Thursday last year, looks pretty full but no music going on in any of the larger stages, but there's something on at the Stonebridge bar, which does have music on the Thursday, and the open stage in T&C by Gate C.
  19. That's a shame, I used to look at it regularly. It was still up a few weeks ago.
  20. Group of 2 were successful (Booker lives in Singapore) Group of 4 unsuccessful. I got on 3 times late on but didn’t get past the registration page.
  21. They often sold out within hours in previous years. Happy to have been once, but at those prices plus the risk of it clashing with something of interest it’s not worth it in my view.
  22. Fripp: Best guitarist at Glastonbury 2024 I’d suggest! (Bowie, Talking Heads, Blondie, Gabriel, Eno, and his own bands…)
  23. I admire her for being so prolific (and hardworking), there’s very few acts that have maintained a high level of quality for as long as she has.
  24. I’d opt out on most artists bonus tracks. 95% should be billed as ‘not good enough to be on the album’.
