  1. The only time I’m thinking don’t miss Richard Thompson at the Acoustic and he’s not playing! I always find a couple of interesting acts on their line up but this time I’m seen the ones I’m really interested in. Maybe give Judy Collins a go.
  2. No. I’m not really sure why I haven’t. I really like her first album and a friend said the second was really good. I need to sort myself out!!

No, it was busy but not uncomfortable. She really teased the crowd with false starts to her big hit Shout and the tent got lively then. One of her stories was being in the studio with the Bee Gees. Two of them were playing the idea of a song, Barry turned up late and just walked into the studio and immediately started singing some lyrics. There and then it became one of their biggest hits.

She was superb at the Avalon when she played some years ago. Told some good stories about her life too, including the Bee Gees and others.
  5. My son was there. He was in a state afterwards. I put him in a large bin bag otherwise he wasn’t getting a lift home!
  6. I’d say a tearful goodbye by climbing up to the Glastonbury sign late Sunday night, stay a while and pinpoint all the areas of the festival and take one last photo.
  7. Absolutely. We should expect just a few minutes for the resale to be over.
  8. It’s a fair comment, ideally I’d like to see the map include every stage but I recognise that’s a challenge. They could do with having a full map in the festival program, and the basic one elsewhere
  9. I have to admit I was wondering why the colour had changed! Duh!
  10. I love it, just so happens I’m playing it now, have revisited Saint Cloud too. Really frustrated I can’t see her later in the year on tour. I’m already enthused with several albums this year: Brittany Howard, MGMT, Julia Holter, Lee Scratch Perry, and have high hopes for Vampire Weekend which I’ve yet to play. Black Keys is decent too.
  11. I know, I agree, and I can’t find any examples, certainly none going back many years.
  12. Franz Ferdinand replaced Babyshambles as The Park headliners in 2008 very last minute. Don't know if it was a proper secret set or that it was just so late in organising.
  13. I guess you can call William's Green two 'live bands' headlining the Thursday night as such? (2016, for example), but other than that I don't think so. (There have of course been headliners that have done separate secret sets, Mumford & Sons Pyramid & Strummerville).
  14. That's the abbreviation, they were going to call it Sincineramadramakarmageddon.
  15. Thanks, that explains it. Looks like about 2 weeks after. It’s a relatively recent year as Sticklinch can be seen. I reckon it’s 2023.
  16. Don’t know if it’s been mentioned here before, the current Google Maps satellite view is just after the festival took place. I thought Bath & West was just CV camping, but there must be lots of crew camping there? Anyway, it’s fun to explore.
  17. They don’t (I think) ever start with individual posters before the balance deadline date. Next week we should see some action.
  18. He'd have been extremely unlucky if he'd been the first frog in history to have been squashed by a huge flashing pyramid hat, that's for sure!
  19. Looking back at my photos of 2013, makes me appreciate what a truly special place Glastonbury is. I've posted some previously of Chrissie Hynde & Johnny Marr, etc but the one of Paul Carrick is my favourite.
  20. Happy to oblige. If anyone has home for 5 million tadpoles please let me know...
  21. They must run out of rain soon!! 😆 It's a quagmire around my local walk, and the bottom of our garden has been consistently under water for 6 months. Still, the frogs are enjoying it.
  22. I've only seen them once (1978!!) so I really must catch them one more time...
  23. That’s interesting. Could we be spoilt and have both him and Steel Pulse I wonder?
  24. Listening to one of the Pilton Stage competition winners, Sam Evans, dare I say it, if you like Coldplay this one’s for you (Is he Chris Martin’s brother I wonder?).
  25. I’m sure it remains as 4.
