That would be really shit. Doesn't Porto usually get the reunions (Blur, Neutral Milk Hotel, MBV, Ride, Slowdive) but not the big, more commercial fare (Black Zzzs, Arcade Fire, NIN, Strokes)?

I don't think it'll be Kanye. Surely he'd be the first name on the teamsheet at the moment. Can't see them waiting this long to announce an artist who polarises an audience as much as he does. I'm sure the first announcement will be someone the organisers think will go down well with virtually everybody.

I mean it's impossible to have anything but love for LCD isn't it??

Think Primavera need to get the finger out to reel in potential punters.

The fact that they are holding off so long means that either it's spectacular or.....it's thin on the ground. To be fair the headliners are usually just a sweetener, the undercard is the best in the world and I can't wait for next June

Gah, I was really looking forward to New Order. Their new record is pretty good too, so was hoping to hear some new stuff. Hopefully they'll do a US tour.

Hopefully the lineup will be worth the wait. At least the headliners are looking not-rubbish. Just hope the undercard and reunions/rarities deliver this time.

Yep, that seems to back up my suspicion they want people to pay the higher price and we might not get an advance announcement. I don't think PS gives a solitary fuck about how frustrating it is waiting for a bit of news to get exited over.

Nah, that's bings shite translation (I think) what I thought he was saying was that in previous years they have chosen to advanced a name but. But I have a suspicion that this is exactly what's going on. My Spanish isn't all that great though

New Order for BBK. Didn't see that coming. That's a great line up at BBK so far. Might have to look at changing festivals at this rate.

In fact they always tend to not reveal any name before the big announcement. 2012 was the last year they announced several waves of names and besides Neutral Milk Hotel ('special treat' for fans) they have always tried to get to January with no names announced. According to them, Blur, Arcade Fire and Strokes announcements were due to band requests so I think it's perfectly normal they're not saying anything this year as long as any band ask them to announce themselves.

On the other hand, they tried to book Kanye back in 2014. They even said that they reached a point where they were discussing light effects for his performance but ultimately it didn't happen. IMO the biggest name for 2016 is Kanye indeed.

Kanye isn't booked for any festival in Europe or any american Festival. Doesn't seem to be touring in 2016.

Missy Elliott isn't a great fan of touring I believe and it took quite a wedge of cash for her to do Bestival if I remember rightly.
