Water quality

Given that the festival has declared a war on plastic bottles, what is the quality of the water like on site?

Having to live with awful tasting tap water in this part of West Yorkshire we've got used to drinking bottled water and were planning on bringing our own bottles this year.

If the water on site is as natural as out of a well then I'll leave the bottles at home and use the stand-pipes on site.

The water is fine - they have their own underground reservoirs now and a well established pipe system - have never known the water to go off yet - unlike other Festivals. Bring a water carrier to fill up and take to your tent/ van for cooking etc. and just fill up a re-useable bottle. Water Aid booths also offer re-fills

Do the Water Aid stalls only fill up the metal water bottles or do they do it for anyone?

I read somewhere that their water is better quality than the stuff in the taps, I'm not particularly fussy but if I'm closer to a Water Aid stall then why not?

I think we will be filling up any water container you bring us (within reason!). The reason the booths have been introduced is to encourage more people to refill bottles rather than buying new plastic bottles. The water, however, will be the same as anywhere on the site.
