From this day forward I will never smoke another cigarette or joint in my life.

I've had a chest infection which floored me for 3 weeks and has been a pain in the arse the last 5 or 6 weeks on top of that.

Today I've been to the doctors for about the forty thousandth time this year and she has referred me for a chest x-ray later on this afternoon.

I'm sure it's nothing too serious but the worry of the possibility that it might be has scared me shitless and from today I am knocking all occasional smokes on the head.

(I haven't smoked for years but still smoke occasionally, generally when pissed).

I also won't be smoking any greenery which I'd pretty much given up anyway due to the cost rather than for health reasons.

So there you go. Here's to the new me.

I used to have a terrible problem with social smoking and smoking at festivals. I used to have a least 100 hundred over 4 days! Oh the shame! However I went to V this year and didnt have a single one. I admit I would think about it every now and again but only for a fleeting second. I am not quite sure how I have cut down but the smoking ban has defo helped and since I left university I crave them less

Ive been off em 3 months ish now (as has Glastomongrel) using the champix tablets. To anyone who has tried and failed to give up smoking, Id urge you to give em a go, it has been virtually craving free and as straightforward as it gets. And its been tested with getting hammered and, er, other enhancements. Reckon Ive cracked it this time :P

Smoked my last tobacco rollie on August 7th. Gave my bag away to someone at a party and not had a drag since.

Totally over it now. Have been weak willed in the past especially when around chums who smoke but now got the yuck taste experience and the painfulness so can happily steer clear.
