I don't think it's fair compairing Skins and The Inbetweeners as they're two different types of show. It would be like compairing Only Fools and Horses with Frost, both have simililarites but are both also completely different.

For what it's worth Inbetweeners relates much more to my teenage years than Skins ever could.

It is from what I read on side reel, except the gay boy has been swapped for a lesbian, the uproar is over sexually explicit scenes involving under 18's, Some states have the age of consent set at 18.

An American friend of mine who loved the early UK Skins said the US one is shit. I don't think I'll bother checking it out. The british Sid & Cassie pissed me off enough. Hopefully series 5 of ours will look up- the cast look so young though! (ie I'm getting old)

I believe the furore in the US is because some of the actors are under 18 and in sex scenes. Accusations of child porn and all that.

Yeah I am going give it a go again, mind I said that for the two series and ended up watching to see what happened. They've changed the produce or something this time, so hopefully it be better than the last 2 /3 (3 wasn't so bad, it had its moments and plus it had cassie and sid!!!).

The american outrage is brilliant, just brilliant, I spose it can be lil more graphic than maybe more implied stuff...

Music was awesome, as has been said- Shazam constantly at the ready!

However.... it seemed like a good amount of it was written by 16yr olds, lots of dreadfulness. The speech when they were running/hockeying sounded awful as well!

I like the one-character style, especially in the first series of a cast. It sets Skins apart from any old teen drama.

Overall, some bad bits - who keeps a link to their daughter's hate page on the desktop of the family computer? - but I liked the ending and next week's looks a bit more fun :)

Best of all; no Cook character so far :)

    • Gavin Leigh Davis on Instagram, the Fabrizio Romano of tour leaks, says Sam Fender outdoor shows and likely festivals next year. Didn't explicitly mention Glastonbury but adds more to the rumour
    • I think a lot of you guys don't see Tate McRae as headliner material however she was originally billed to play back in 2025 and had to pull out (https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/glastonbury-2025-headliners-revealed-tickets-line-up-1235915362/). She sold out out all of her arena shows in 2025 and just brought in huge crowds at Oshega and Lollapalooza. Given that she's gearing up to release the second album it lines her up for a tour run in her same gap as she's usually over here over Glaso weekend. I wouldn't rule her out.
    • I’d expect U2 & Muse to be options too.
    • I see there's yet another article doing the rounds about Madonna doing BST, and not Glastonbury.   That could be right, but given there'll be plenty of tickets to shift for BST, could it not just be false info doing the rounds to protect that?? Not that I think Madonna would struggle to shift tickets, or that Glastonbury would have that much impact, but still - would probably still make sense to protect ticket sales when it's announced?
    • Given BST recently I wouldn't expect it as rock heavy as that. I kinda am expecting it'd be where The Cure play though as I'm expecting a second year touring of them
