I had some bird tell me I looked like Johnny Depp but that she didn't want any action from me because I had long hair. She ended up trying it on with my fat speccy mate instead. People are weird. Especially girls.

Exactly!

Incidently, I was out yesterday and saw someone I hadn't seen in a while, and he's one of the "dependent on relationships" people, and he couldn't get his head around the idea that I was happy despite due to being single :)

Its because girls have fragile esteem so she thought you might have too so was letting you know she wasn't interested but not because she thinks your ugly lol. this is so you don't feel rejected and broken :)

Is showing compassion and care for other people wierd?

I can't help think that your sharp analytical skills aren't up to speed on a Monday morning.

"Girls are wierd" indeed.

And I think your sense of irony has given way to sanctimony once again.

There was no need for compassion and care. I'm a big lad and I wasn't even interested. The girl boiled. Probably why she liked fat speccy guys. I just like calling girls weird.

I was talking to my mum yesterday about how difficult it is to find people I like, who have similar interests to me, who aren't 20 years old young, etc etc. We agreed that they could possibly be found at festivals but since I'm not looking my best after lots of booze and no showers, they would be difficult to attract!! :)

My mum very kindly (or motherly) said though, that if someone did take a liking to me at a festival, what a nice surprise they'd get once I got home and showered and sobered up a bit :)

I'm still in no hurry anyway, I really like being on my own, now I've got used to the idea.

    • Fontaines getting the honour of the last ever BBC Maida Vale session going out on 6 Music shortly.   No Glastonbury relevance (for now.. ), just thought I'd mention it for those who are interested 😎
    • Had a wonderful booking in one of our primary woodland venues this weekend. A 30th birthday arranged by a load of musicians and entertainment industry professionals. It was primarily a folk oriented event, however I noticed one young woman who didn’t seem to fit dress and appearance wise. Turned out to be Frenetic, one of the top up and coming UK Jungle and DnB DJ’s.    Anyway Saturday night turned into an EDM session and I got to do a set. Slightly nervous considering who was there, it was great and Frenetic loved my set. She’s closing Data Mine at Shambala this year.
    • they got lucky and the thunderstorms stayed away. It was still wet of course. Some of those boot sucking puddles did emerge from what a couple friends saw who were there.  Post fest aerial also below   and also a sapphic mud wrestling contest?
    • It's even less funny when in real life too...   Liddle met Rachel Royce and the couple soon became romantically involved.[84] In January 2004 the couple married at a ceremony in Malaysia. They had been living in Heytesbury, Wiltshire, and had two sons together. Six months later, Liddle moved in with Alicia Monckton, a 22-year-old receptionist at The Spectator. It transpired that he had cut short his honeymoon with Royce so that he could be with Monckton. Following their divorce, Liddle and Royce exchanged attacks in the media. Liddle called her a "total slut and slattern"
