I recorded the show cos we were out at dinner so will perhaps rewind it and try and find out for all you lovely folks what was said by the bloke in the audience.

I DID think the road building stuff was a tad too silly though. Hope every episode isnt as far fetched and inane.

I would love to see more Ford Transit action. Nice to see its got a permanent home in the studio now.

That was fab, glad he's looking well:) Can't believe all the stuff he was saying before the crash happened... 'this could be a big accident' etc, sent a shiver down me spine!

I thought it was great. Im seeing a pattern, the people that didn't like it were girls, any blokes want to agree with them and ruin my theory?

And from what I heard the bloke shouted something like: "Well done mate, proud of ya".

I know a couple of "mildly feminist" "PC aware" women who think Top Gear is just brilliant. I have never quite understood why they enjoy it and neither do they!

I, on the other hand, am a male petrol-head with a juvenile sense of humour so fit the target audience perfectly.

I know nothing about cars, care even less for them, but I love top gear, thought it was hilarious clarkson saying hammond had turned into princess diana, but the best part was hamster saying thats it, no more talk of the accident.

I hope it dicked CBB in the ratings.

Yeah, they all seemed genuinely emotional I thought - mind you, we were as we sat watching it - it was weird seeing a guy almost kill himself, yet somehow I couldn't look away! I had to keep reminding myself that he's okay and was sitting there watching it himself!

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
