Tramlines 2026

Well that’s Tramlines 2026 tickets in the bag and accommodation sorted, lovely looking house for 7 of us 10 minutes drive from the festival.

Anyone else get sorted today ? Who are we thinking or hoping will headline or play ?

Self Esteem seems an obvious headliner for one night if she’s still doing shows next year

Id love to see Wolf Alice headline and Editors on the lineup if they’re about next year

Would be happy to see any of the following headline.

Blossoms - after a couple of sub slots deserve a go after a great 12 Months

Self Esteem - local hero.  May be T'Other Stage Headline but shame not to have her on big stage.

Inhaler - three banging albums and think have the material.  Time to take a chance on someone other than the usual suspects.

Gerry Cinnamon - my dream booking but seems to have disappeared.

Fontaines DC - probably out of range but would be nice.

Wolf Alice - can see this happening.

Stereophonics - hot after hit and probably perfect Festival band.

Other than Headliners would like to see The K's and Red Rum Club be given a sub headline slot as both went down brilliantly this year.  Freddie Halkon to carry his rise onto main stage.   Time for a return for the Sheds and make sure some Pop nostalgia is included - maybe someone like Natalie Imbruglia following on from SEB, Natasha Bedingfield and Heather Small.

For the tent Brogeal, CVC, Sam Scherdel and Delights would be great.

I'd like to see them take a punt on Self Esteem for headline, possibly with CMAT as sub... or other way round if CMAT flies this year with the new album. They are long overdue a female headliner!

Stereophonics are a good shout, and Manics would be a great sub or T'Other headline (superb at Live at Leeds this year), or the Hives

Others... I would love Raye or Vampire Weekend, but can't see that happening, with Michael Kiwanuka sub

Lottery Winners would be good fun on T'Other, would love them to have Yard Act back, plus Leadmill... Gurriers, Brogeal, Moonlandingz, Panic Shack, Casino, She Drew the Gun, Home Counties...

Special guests - Magic Numbers, Natalie Imbruglia, and would expect Rev & the Makers back somewhere on the main stage next year due to new album.

I think Fontaines would have to release another album to still be touring next summer, as that would be the 3rd summer for Romance if they didn't. Next albums going to have them headlining the "big" festivals.

Pop wise id get The Sugababes back, it was an absolute washout when they played two years ago but they were still fantastic.

Could Suede potentially headline, got a new album out in a few weeks so should still be doing festivals next year.

I think they might be a strong sub nowadays... bit like Franz this year

Franz were brilliant this year, so loud with having 3 guitarists on stage.

Franz were so good, I made a point of seeing them again at Y Not!

Would love to see Suede too - still a fantastic live act after all these years

Can imagine the lineup next year being a lot stronger over the 3 days as they wont blow as much of the budget on someone like Pulp or have a band curate a full day.

We're travelling down to our accommodation on the Thursday in hopes the Friday is a belter so we can get in early, plus our group did end up booking the fancy bit VIP.

  • 1 month later...

It’d be interesting to see what they do for camping. The survey mentioned a shuttle bus option and I’d expect it be that from a field in Bradfield or Oughtibridge.

I’d be curious to see the location split if the audience, for the most part it does seem Sheffield locals who wouldn’t need to camp. Potentially a good sign for its future if they’re trying to attract a wider audience

According the report from the licence review, more than 16% are actually from Hillsborough, let alone the wider Sheffield area, so pretty local, although I guess the audience for Pulp this year may have been more diverse. The current licence is for 3 more years and due for review next year, so they may be trying to strengthen the argument for inward consumer spending by getting more people from outside Sheffield.

As an extra snippet of info, this was also interesting... Tramlines pretty much have an exclusivity agreement for use of the park. Given Artic Monkeys in 23, in theory there will only be one more before 2030!

Definitely means Pulp doing it as the homecoming figures a little more now.

And also why they didn't follow AM in 23, having to make do with a couple of nights at the Arena instead.

This is typical Sheffield mentality.  Can't have anything too successful and upset people.

Imagine Manchester saying Oasis could only do one date at Heaton Park as Catfish had already done one earlier in the year.

Hate to say it, but you're spot on. Sheffield social media is just full of people desperate for Tramlines itself to be canceled. I swear we have an abnormal amount of curtain-twitchers here who want basically anything "fun" to be shut down quickly.

Sheffield has the mentality of a Village which is why it will be light years behind Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool.

Sheffield local media like to sh*t stir. It's a very small minority.

    • It was never going to be great was it, there is comments of Mickey Mouse all over socials lol which is very similar to Glastonbury.  Someone I know from RIP watched Welcome to the Jungle and left and they went saying they've got to see GNR. It was the only day not to see out as well.
    • I decided to goto bed early for the Aussie game rather than stay up for Scotland. I don't regret my decision, I also love the complete over reaction during the world cup when a player has 1 good game, that Watford winger is now everyones dream signing. Its also funny when clubs get into the hype and end up overpaying for someone who then does nothing in the prem.

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
