Hate to say it, but you're spot on. Sheffield social media is just full of people desperate for Tramlines itself to be canceled. I swear we have an abnormal amount of curtain-twitchers here who want basically anything "fun" to be shut down quickly.

Similar to living in Oxford then 🤣

Do you think The Streets might be on the line up? He’s just announced a tour and I’ve noticed he’s doing Leeds on the Friday and nothing for the rest of the weekend 👀

Probably a good chance for any of the Superstruct festivals he's not done recently

Edit: last at Tramlines in 21. Is that too soon?

Courteeners did 2019 and then 2023, so probably not "too soon" but my word, I hope it is. Can't stand The Streets.

Self Esteem is pretty nailed on within the next couple of years, I'd guess. If Reytons can headline, zero reason she can't.

The main barrier this year might be that she's doing West end theatre March-June, so unlikely to be doing summer touring.

Maccabees decided they're having a proper stab at it after the comeback show (tour) with new music this Thurs. Reckon they're an option for Tramlines?

This sounds like the level of unoffensive boy band headliner Superstruct will be FIGHTING over. Solid prediction for at least a couple of their festivals.

Think there’s a good chance Paul Weller headlines Tramlines? Summer tour announced - no Sheffield…

Perfect for Sunday night. Did the same at Y Not in 2023.

And if not Tramlines, he would also be a good option for RnR at Don Valley.

Highly unlikely, but would love the likes of Tramlines to get Lily Allen next year. She has said she's going to tour the new album, so she will be active. With the strength of her new material and her back catalogue of 2000s hits, I think she'd be fantastic. Plus, she would be a big tick in the female headliners column, which, as discussed, would be a very good thing.

Hope you are right but Sheffield does not really have a Venue to lend itself to the Weller outdoor Summer Tour so Sheffield was never going to be on the list.

Be good to see a permeant set up or certainly a chunk of the summer at Don Valley Bowl.  Could have a run of gigs like Piece Hall does.

This what I'm hoping for! RnR is a proof of demand for sizeable one-off gigs/day fests when done well, and there are several other disjointed day things, but there's got to be scope for C&T or Futuresound to move in for a few weekends with their headline style events.

OK, given Self Esteem is on bill for Latitude, I think she's back on for a good slot at Tramlines

Surely, she'll headline if she's there. Played the arena last month. Similar size to the Reytons. Not for me, but it won't be a great look for Tramlines if your local Dark Fruits indie band gets the headline slot, and your local female artist gets a sub slot.

I would hope so, but it is Tramlines... she's also topped T'Other in the past, so it would be a natural progression.
