The Cure helps most line-ups look better to be fair.

Adams one of those artists who, if he took a few years off touring, could possibly come back and play some big open-air shows.

But because he pretty much hits the UK every year in some configuration or other, there's no pent-up demand ever required. It's not difficult to see him in most parts of the country.

I wouldn't be surprised if true if I-Days are one of the first to get them.

Bryan Adams day in Sheffield at Don Valley went on TFG twice.

Potentially Victorious Festival?

I doubt they'll still be there that long and IOW and Victorious basically never share a headliner.

Bryan Adams was also a case of saturation in the market though. He only played Utilita Arena in Sheffield and The Piece Hall in Halifax a year before, then First Direct Bank Arena just three months prior. Factor in him being a late call-up with not much of a promo campaign for RNR Circus, and I'm not too surprised they were trying to give them away.

Conversely, he hasn't played the Isle of Wight at all since headlining the 2003 edition. I think there'd be a healthy chunk of day-trippers there alone who might head up for him, particularly with a strong bill of cross-generational options beneath him. (I am assuming IOW does day tickets?)

That's a shame, that would have been great! Would have made me instantly buy a ticket, for sure.

The Cure automatically legs this up if true, but let's be fair, IOW tends to book one heavyweight and prop a little elsewhere.

Yeah 100%, but I do think, that they will headline Victorious instead of IoW. Just have a feeling, no inside information or anything.

The thing that steers me away from. Thinking victorious is they seem unlikely to go with The Cures desire for longer sets

In other news on Bryan Adams saturation in the UK he's back around in December

Would be a boon for Victorious too, but an intriguing gut feeling nevertheless.

Yeah just have a hunch but as @bingobear stated below, it might not be a go with the shorter set unless the cure agree to do a shorter set, for less money potentially? Like a greatest hits sort of show in an hour and a half or something

Apparently tour t shirts on the recent leg have included dates in Brighton, hull and cardiff

I mean, annoyed that I missed that given i was at Sheffield 🤣

Got to be Connexion Live, or whatever they're calling it these days.

A Tuesday night in Hull... will have to see if I can tempt anybody out that way.

Unless he's playing City Hall, which is an even weirder shout.

Get to the front have posted Cardiff on 9th and Brighton on 10th. On sale Friday. No mention of hull. Bit crazy if they jumped the gun on t shirts

Scratch that   they've updated it now. Hull. Is on the 8th at connexions

I saw that, very weird rollout for the announcement.

Even more of a gamble if they'd fallen through, but yes. Seems to be the case.

Watching the Radio 2 set on the box, and have to admit, he's a very ideal IOW headliner - and that's with a set here that is a little bit too heavy on recent stuff as well. (Helps that it is broadly catchy and Radio 2-friendly too, to be fair.)

Guessing it will be:

Friday: Calvin Harris

Saturday: Bryan Adams
Sunday: The Cure

Looks decent on paper, Bryan Adams is probably the weak link though.

You get a solid enough Radio 2 undercard beneath that - because it basically is Radio 2-friendly these days - and you're doing fine.
