Yeah mine had same (well different code starting with GA0....but as long as the one you bought off twickets prefixes that with "Stalls" then fine)

Superb gig last night. Might have a few quibbles on the setlist, but still fantastic. Queueing/getting in last night way better then my last visit there 6 months ago, and the sound was pretty good (I heard some nightmare stories from Wet Leg the other week). Kind of restored my faith in Brixton Academy after a couple of fairly sh*t experiences there in the latter half of last year.

They juggle the setlist a little but Losing My Edge missing last night surprised me a bit (Setlist state it was on the printed setlist but not played). But as you say, superb nonetheless.

Went on Thursday and picked up a last minute effort for last night. Both incredible shows, missed Losing My Edge and Movements both nights! See if I can find a cheapie for the next set of dates.

How much did you get the last minute tickets for last night's gig? I'm keen to go (although have seen them plenty of times before) but with Glasto coming up and various other bits and bats over the next few months, I don't want to pay over the odds...

Went on Friday night and thought they were brilliant. Must be about 15 years or so since I was last at Brixton Academy so was good to go back and also take my son for the first time.

Arrived around 8:15pm and took about 20 mins to get in but we were moving most of the time. Managed to have a quick look at the merch and grab a beer before they came on. Atmosphere where we were standing, just to the right near the front, was great and the lights and sound were spot on. Only downside was how hot it was but that didn't detract from the whole experience. Think it was about the 6th time I've seen them and they never disappoint. Set time was just over 2 hours but never felt like it was dragging at any point.

Stayed at the Premier Inn near Brixton tube station so we decided to make a night of it and went to see Jazzy Jeff at the Hootenanny afterwards. He was predictably awesome and helped make it one of those rare, fantastic nights where everything just seemed to come together at the right time!

Headed to Lido for Charli XCX the next day and it was great as well but had a lot to live up to after the night before. Magdalena Bay and Gesaffelstein were the highlights but it was really crowded at times, the choice of beer was rubbish and it took absolutely ages to get out afterwards. Came scarily close to missing the last train home (I had to hold the doors open so my son and his GF, who'd come to join us, could jump on) but, all in all, was a top weekend!

Definitely a few absentees on Sunday but didn't detract from another excellent night. Balcony was only half-full though - think they could have done six rather than eight shows.

I was downstairs and while felt full it was relatively comfortable and easy to get to the bar etc. Was saying that on one hand 8 may be a show or 2 too many but on the other happy they are doing 8 given the heat in there!

I also liked the earlier Sun curfew - less rushing for last trains and not too late to bed😀

    • I think it happened a week ago. Btw, Ela Minus looks like a great addition for the opening free day now. Anyone been to this venue? Is there like a closed place or they just put an open air stage somewhere in the park?
    • I see the weekend tickets have sold out. When did that happen? I recall seeing that Friday day tickets had all gone but was surprised to see today that weekend ones had too.
    • I thought some time back that I could see Get Down Services getting a slot in Woodsies
    • Tickets on sale when I'm abroad (I'm assuming this sells out in minutes), and the actual dates could not be worse for me work-wise. Still going to try to get tickets, of course, but god damn!
    • I'm personally confident that Slipknot will be one of the headliners next year (no insider info just lines up with them likely releasing an album soon)    Then there's the headliner that's never played the festival before which the bookers have alluded to so that's one of Blink, Foos, NIN, Nickelback and possibly Pearl Jam or even Bon Jovi    The third band I also think will be a new headliner who are being bumped up so Deftones, Offspring, Paramore Etc.    I'd love Slipknot, Foos and Paramore but realistically i'd go with Slipknot, Blink and Deftones
