They 100% get airtime on the 3 stations I mentioned. I flick between them regularly. It's not something I would lie about given, all things granted, I'm not even that huge a TOP fan 🤣

Ah no one suggested you were lieing, the comment was a tongue in cheek more than anything. Mentioning two channels though that play a lot of pop is quite telling.

Kerrang played a lot of Foos as well and look at that. I'd generally be surprised at TOP getting booked at Download, there is so many more logical options for them. Also, Hurricane do have Download headliners but they also have regular years off of them, 1 headliner in 3 years I believe in Green Day.

Yeah, for sure. I genuinely expected a Sleep Token situation. They’re firmly sub sized if they play next year, which I think they will to make up for cancelling in 2024 (along with the other Euro fests they dropped out of). They could even headline second like they were originally supposed to so they can have their full, quite impressive stage show with them.

I’ve never seen a support band bring full production like they did on BMTH’s 2024 tour, felt like a headline set. I hope they do play Download, catching them in November in Nottingham.

I did enjoy them live supporting BMTH but they’re pretty naff/meh on record. Only a couple that have really grabbed me.

Need to give 'em a few shakes. Not quite done it for me yet, and don't really gauge them as being a big thing either as a draw, though I do appear to be wrong there.

Same. I was blown away by them on that tour. The reception they got was nuts. Never seen anything like it in my life.

Sub-headliner at this juncture, but even then, I'm yet to fully tune in on them.

I quite like them. I would say I’m definitely a casual fan. There’s a good 10-12 songs of theirs I really, really like and listen to quite regularly. I can’t do a whole album, though.

Not sure I'd say that's being a casual fan. It's not being a die-hard, of course, either.

It’s unlikely they get booked you arent wrong but if there’s no one else that’s free they will be one of the options is how I look at it. They’re always a headliner option on the survey they put out each year so they themselves consider them too.

Foo Fighters surely must be knocking on the door at R+L. They'll play at least one festival here next year, I'd reckon.

They will absolutely choose R&L to be the first official festival they play over here after Taylor’s passing (Glasto’s ‘secret’ set doesn’t count).

There will be a lot of options they can go to before TOP. They asked 21 bands to end up with QOTSA, FOB and A7X and they could literally if they had do book Ghost, BMTH and LP.

Talking about what Kerrang TV is pointless. Even by 2014/15 when 21P were blowing up (and getting played on there all the time), music channels were dead and a completely obsolete medium.

You are correct.

Id be a lot of money on them at 26 but I've said that for a long time. The fact they live it, it's their favourite UK festival and they were due to play anyway before Daves antics.

Yeah I don’t disagree there will be other bands ahead of them in the queue. My point is we can’t rule them out as a headliner option.

Also..

Ghost / Alice Cooper / Greta Van Fleet

pls, perfect two to have before Ghost imo

I think they’d be better going for something like: Ghost / Evanescence / Motionless in White

I can’t see them booking Alice Cooper as a sub. Maybe as a second stage headliner again.

I can’t see them booking Alice Cooper at all. I think this would be a good Ghost day:

Ghost / Evanescence / Ice Nine Kills / Behemoth / The Warning / Unto Others / Bat Sabbath

INK are pants but the Ghost crowd would appreciate the theatre of it all, I think (even if it is god awful).
