Gotta say, the announcement of A$AP is a strange one. Maybe they think the trial gives him a bit of edge. Think I'd have just sat on the announcement until after the verdict tbh.

Honestly their social media team has gone downhill. I refuse to believe any hints from now on. 
 

surprise? Like what? Announcing names is a surprise now? For a festival?

 

Rock n roll? They either referenced Posty with that or the fact that they added Refused and Hannabie. Either way it’s weird (although those two are very welcomed)

My theory is that since he was teased right after last year’s edition (the blurred name in one of the videos), they already had a contract with him for a long time now and they wanted to go ahead of things and announce him, so if he has to cancel and is replaced by Maclemore, then they can blame the circumstances for the weaker addition and show that they have done everything in their power to get a strong headliner.

If I remember correctly he had no idea what video we were talking about and said he doesn’t know about ongoing talks with asap. Might have happened under Leaks’ radar, but in my opinion it’s a bit odd to be just a coincidence.

Am I wrong to say that Shawn Mendes sticks out as being a strange headliner booking in 2025? Chappell and Charli are both very pop and 'now'. Shawn isn't.

Filling the sub slots. If you notice, there are 3 of them for one day. 1-1 for two other days and ZERO for three more days. I think at least 8-10 relatively well known names are still to come.
