This wasn't just Neil. I've seen this reference all over the internet.
Here's another example of critiques of responses:

And to be clear, I don't think Salmond = sh*t means anyone supports independence is sh*t. I am actively rejecting the bullshit idea that we should only say nice things about someone because they're dead. He was an abusive c**t and the worst dregs of humanity and I'm not saying a single thing about him that I didn't say when he was alive.
Bare in mind im 30 so im not exactly using the platform, but they supposedly had a bit of a resurgence thanks to a lot of their songs being used on TikTok (apparently thats how kids find music now), youtube shorts and IG reels. Kinda like how Limp Bizkit and Creed have a new generation of audience by becoming a meme? Idk, i feel like what im saying makes sense.
I was surprised about their double return aswell, but they still "only" played three times/four sets in 5 editions with always a year break in between before returning.
Is there really a precedent to playing 4 times/six sets in 5 editions except for Shellac and maybe some smaller local act? Not even Deerhunter did that actually.
I'd be totally down for Charli being the spiritual successor of Shellac by returning every year though lol.
