Booking gig tickets is the best tonic for this

Never a truer word said. When I didn't get tickets in November I sulked about it for a couple of weeks but then thought sod it, I'll do something else instead, and bought Latitude tickets! Knowing that I have a festival weekend in the bag for this summer definitely cheered me up and when the resale came and went without success for me, I gotta tell you I wasn't that bothered. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be going to Glastonbury again this year and am having a punt on all the competitions, but having an alternative sorted has softened the blow very considerably.

Latitude looks fab this year, I’m sure you’ll be in for a great weekend. I rather fancied Shindig but feel like I’ve left it too late now. I may have to look at what’s on in the UK and Europe later on in summer to whet my appetite gigs/festivals wise.

On a separate note, the Clipper tea is really lovely. Money well spent for me. Also a top tip - when I signed up for my Coop card they gave me £1 off, which I used on the Clipper tea purchase.

I’ve stewarded with Oxfam before and loved it but I’d like to do it with my partner, who hasn’t, but trying to bring him round to the idea of it so feel like it’s a project for next year. That’s a good deal that they’re offering though, can’t believe shindig places aren’t already full for Oxfam!

Aw I really appreciate it so thank you for mentioning (and hopefully it helps another one of the ticketless!) I’d do it in a heartbeat but my partner needs a longer lead in time for these things. Oxfam take great care of their volunteers (for those who are interested) but I feel like getting a place with them is becoming just as tricky as getting tickets. Certainly a really popular route in to the festival nowadays. Hope you get to make it with your little one - what fab memories they would be!

Guessing nobody has heard anything about cheese or lager winners from co-op?

I'm feeling a bit mopey and miserable not hearing about any Efestival winners 😞

I was reading their T&Cs. Winners will be notified within a week of closing that’s tomorrow I believe.
Must be a bit tricky for them as with this competition in particular they might draw people who don’t want to go to Glastonbury.

Would be lovely to hear of a winner from here! The Guardians Worthy Winners one closed yesterday as well.
