they're just doing their job, it isnt down to them, it is down to the government if they want to freeze cap and pay the difference.

Yes you are right but Ofgem could’ve made the decision to protect consumers more than they have. They made this decision they along with the Tories are complicit.

Still no government Minister. If they don’t want to govern then just call an election and let Labour do it.

Sorry, Zahawi has been on the TV but that’s it.

France are saying the energy price cap won't last beyond December as its far too expensive. What appears to be happening is European companies are shifting their energy intensive operations to France where they can buy energy below market rate. France's energy usage is increasing exponentially leaving French tax payers with a limitless bill.

the wholesale suppliers of energy  to uk consumers should make a packet, as they should have contracts with a buying price well-below the current high  market-prices. for example, a lot of our gas comes via tanker from Qatar, and the prices for that are probably locked in.

I wonder why there’s comment today about other countries situations? Seems a bit odd to try to make our situation not seem as bad.

It’s a Tory tactic.

Yep the price above for Germany is buying energy now for Q1 2023. Could easily go the other way though if say we get a peace deal in Ukraine they could lose a packet buying at that price.

    • I guess we'll just have to wait until videos of the shows go up, but the fact that the standing is also greyed out still suggests to me that those sections just sold out out before the others and a blue block just be like 3 tickets left, it's still not concrete proof they never went on sale and if they were never on sale why would they not make it even, if 414 wasn't on sale then you'd think 409 wouldn't be either
    • Selfish, but I've done the 2 days I'm there.. i'll try to do the rest through the day but might get beaten to it as it's editable....    https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2026/
    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
    • 1. Coming with my sister (our 4th Sziget together) 2. 3 days (Thursday-Saturday). Would rather do Tuesday-Thursday but not enough AL 😞 3. Wednesday evening  4. Apartment  5. FATM (will be my 10th Florence’s gig) 6. Parcels/Paris Paloma
