Day 9 since we got some chickens. For anyone who cares they’re called: Kylie, Britney, Jett (Joan), Debbie (Harry), Stella, Spingo and Adelaide

Great fun and fresh eggs

We’ve a friend  who has hens and sells eggs for two quid for six. So much tastier than supermarket ones. She has an honesty box outside her house and has now expanded into selling them to hotels and the local butchers shop. Quite a decent wee business

One problem could be that many of the hospitality packages are already sold out. Unless you’ve a media contact, media organisations normally get a hospitality allocation.

My wife works for a music company, they have an allocation already.

They run a ballot for it early next year.

I’ve also got a media contact who gets hospitality tickets, he says their allocation of them is slightly reduced this year. The few Off site ultra expensive glamping/hospitality ticket packages mostly sold out a while ago. Some just after the 2025 festival ended.

    • It was always going to be the cost. stuff like this:
    • Man/Woman/Chainsaw anyone? Still 4-5 secret sets to be filled.   New album out today and Rough Trade friendly.
    • can't edit, but just to add to the above:   i get that the last bit is meant to reinforce the message that they are all horrible people and closing ranks to cover up what has happened and carry on with their lives while poor Celeste is left alone with her trauma...   i get it thematically, i just really hated the way it was on screen and i say that my ending would have made for a better movie.   🙂
    • Sadly, the ticket map below screams rear 5 blocks not on sale or never have been on sale. Especially when you look at the blue blocks with rows of unsold tickets.   And I say all of this as a big fan of Muse.
    • Personally, I don't think there will be any changes to the queuing system in place for the 2025 sale.  GFL will be aware that true bots are a risk, but they may also see large collectives of organised folks running multiple devices, containers or profiles to get an advantage as bots themselves, and then struggle to know where to draw the line without penalising folks who are simply more on the ball than others.   They will also be acutely aware that engineering tech to close those gaps will cost, and therefore eat into the money they are able to pass to the Charities, without passing those costs on to punters in the ticket price, which they will be cautious of doing especially after a 2 year break and the inevitable media coverage that will get.   This may all be naive and overly trusting of me though.....
