They were always shit, wasn't the drummer called Thunderstick or something equally shite? yep, according to wiki he was - real name of Barry. I'd been thinking the geezer in the mask was (Paul) Samson but now you've put me right.
Sasperella
My actual first gig was Ant and Dec (shortly after they stopped being PJ and Duncan) at Kettering Leisure Village when I was about 11. So absolutely zero cool points for that, unless you count the fact that my friend and I got right up to the barrier and had to be pulled out by the bouncers. I shit you not. My first real gig was a band called Soil at the Zodiac in Oxford with my boyfriend at the time who I was completely infatuated with. I was about 16 and had one of the best nights ever, which then led to many many more gigs with him over the next couple of years. Genuinely a bit of a life changing moment. Much more so than Ant and Dec.
ticketboy69
Terrence Trent D’arby at the Cornwall Coliseum. It was 1987 and part of The Hardline According To tour. It was an amazing gig. It felt stripped back and real, just the band with very little of the production we’re used to now. Fond memories and a great introduction to live music.
